"I highly recommend these folks. They are professional and caring. They've remodeled two bathrooms, built a deck, and completed repair work after a water back up in my laundry room. They care about meeting the customers needs. Easy to work with and very responsive."

"The pro was great and apologized for being 2 hrs late. It was the day all the work vans had a necessary upgrade. He did his work in good time and was personable and honest. My toilet had been running for about a year and was not level. He was able to level it and install a new seal and adjust the float arm. no more running toilet. He installed a new faucet so I can wash larger pots easier now in my shallow sink."

"Excellent service! I called D & F because they had installed a kitchen faucet for me earlier this year and helped me with a bath tub leak. I was so impressed that I didn’t bother to call anyone else. James was professional — he asked questions and listened, and best of all fixed the problem. Afterwards he offered some advice about my system and taught me some simple things about plumbing I didn’t know. I thought the price was fair — will definitely be calling on them again for any plumbing help."

"John removed an old sink and bath tub from one bathroom, and an old shower from another, replacing them all with new items. He replaced old flooring with new tile, and also tiled the walls around the tub and shower. He had to build a new wall to enclose the new tub. In addition, the job required some plumbing, and some excavation of an old pipe. <br /> This was at my son's house, and John was very accommodating of my son's inexperience in home remodeling. expalining everything, and giving recommendations, and helping him makedecisions. <br />"

FAQs for walk in tub installation and replacement projects in Aloha, OR

Because Medicare classifies walk-in tubs as non-durable medical equipment, it generally won’t pick up the tab. Medicaid can help if a doctor certifies that the tub is medically necessary, but rules change by state. Call your plan early, ask which forms you need, and keep any prescriptions or letters on file to improve your odds of reimbursement.

A walk-in bathtub’s fill and drain times hinge on your home’s water pressure and the tub’s hardware. Most models with a fast-fill faucet need about six to eight minutes to fill and two to three minutes to drain; larger basins or standard drains can tack on an extra 10 minutes. Stay seated until the water is completely gone so you don’t swing the door open on a full tub’s worth of water.

A walk-in bathtub holds 50 gallons of water, and its design supports capacities that range from 40 to 80 gallons, depending on the product. In contrast, a standard bathtub holds 25 to 45 gallons. This capacity is determined by the fixed design of the tub and its construction materials. Homeowners should review the detailed product specifications to confirm the exact volume available for use during bath time.

Walk-in tubs are tax-deductible when the purchase qualifies as a necessary medical expense and meets the IRS criteria. Caregivers who install a walk-in tub also qualify for the Dependent Care Tax Credit under specific conditions. Homeowners must verify these requirements with the IRS and consult a tax professional, as state and program guidelines enforce strict documentation standards for such deductions.
