"My experience with Professional Builders & Remodeling was awesome and the project they did was a complete kitchen remodel. The project went very smooth, there were no issues at all. I didn't expected that, I worked with some contractors in the past and this was the best experience I have ever had. The kitchen was finished on time, it looks amazing, I am super satisfied and final price was also fair. I can't recommend enough this great contractor!"

"The sandblasting took two days. The work was done by only three men, who did an outstanding job. My property has two sump pumps and a pipe drain. They were careful to close those off and use their own pumps for moving the water. All the debris was shoveled up and moved by wheelbarrow to their truck and hauled away. Clean up was excellent. Sandblasting is a very messy project. They did a good job of getting up the greatest amount of sand paint chips and muck. I was pleased with the outcome. I still continue to sweep and shop vac sand, but it is all minor compared to the massive amount of work the crew did to clean my property. Active Sandblasting did a superior job of meeting my needs. I would highly recommend their services. <br />"

"recently had Sharon with Cavalier Builder complete my earthquake retrofit, electrical panel upgrade and laundry room. This is my third time working with him and I had another great experience. I’m the kind of person who likes concise and informative reviews so I would recommend Cavalier builders to anyone for three main reasons: Communication, Expertise and Flexibility. Firstly, if you have ever had any work done you know how important quick communication is. I’m a mom of a toddler and I don’t have a lot of free time. Sharon is always so quick to respond and communicates through text, which is perfect for me. Sends quick updates, videos, and in person he is very helpful. I had him come quote me and he gave his opinion on what he thought needed to be done to get my house ready to sell. Sharon even told me what he thought I didn’t need to do, not many contractors would do that. He talks you through every step and his contracts are very detailed so you know exactly what to expect. Sharon and his team have a lot of expertise and are all very professional, this is the third time working with him and everyone has always come exactly on time, been super courteous, finished the project on time and left my house as clean as it was before. Finally, one of my main reasons I continue to work with Cavalier builders is their flexibility. It is a large business but everyone acts like a family. The benefit is that you can get a job done quickly and on time but they will also take on little jobs that are hard to get other big companies to do. I had a roof leak once and contacted a large roofing company, they said they were booked four weeks out, I contacted Sharon and I had it done one week later. I had an old wall heater that was broken and I wanted to remove it. I contacted a large heating and cooling company and they said they wouldnt do it. After three jobs I even recognize faces behind masks and worked with Eddie, Felix, and Sammi a few times. This is so important to know because if you work with someone who has long term employees it says that the work is good and the results are consistent and that the contractor is someone you want to work with."

"We twice had Guy come out to look at our bedroom remodel. The first time we were stupid and hired a contractor friend of a friend because he was a lower price. We thought we did our due diligence but in the end he totally damaged our home and we are having to file a claim against him with the Contractors State License Board. We totally regretted not hiring Guy to do the job in the first place. After our first contractor walked off the job, Guy came back to give us another look and gave us the same quote even though there was another bathroom to refinish due to the damage caused by the first contractor. In the end we couldn't hire Guy as we did not get the loan for this. We are now in the unfortunate position of hiring individuals to complete this job so we can pay by credit. This review is for Guy as a professional. If we had the money, we would have hired Guy. His is very professional. Guy spends a lot of time explaining everything to you, he writes out everything for you in the quote so there are no issues during the job, he comes ready with a business card, calls you back in good time, etc. These are the things that so few contractors do and it exemplifies his care for the work that he does even though he might not get the job in the end. He is without complaint and I love that in a contractor. For women who are doing the hiring, this is a very important aspect of the job. Too few contractors in general do not respect women even though they are paying them. Guy is not that contractor. He is kind and understanding and he lays everything out for you and really cares. We only wish we had the cash flow to hire him as we expected that we would have had a better outcome in the end."

"Matched the other gates in yard perfectly, including paint. Installers were courteous. I so appreciated that they were good listeners which ensured the job continued to go smoothly. Also welcomed the initial visit to bid the job. Others just wanted a picture of the area sent and measurements. Stump Fence is a class-act operation. If I had any more fencing, I'd go to them. Actually enjoyed writing the check because I am proud of the product."

"We contacted California Custom Landscape to give us a quote on redoing our backyard. We needed to replace our old, cracked patio, redo our sprinkler system, and replace old, overgrown landscaping. Henry listened to our plans and added ideas to improve them. We are so happy we went with CA Custom Landscape! Henry and his crew did an excellent job on all aspects of our project. Henry was here everyday and kept us updated. He and his crew were professional and conscientious, and quickly addressed any questions or concerns we had as the project progressed. When the project was complete, he took the time to explain all about the care and upkeep of our new backyard. We were very happy with the results. Great job, Henry!"

"I needed to reinvent a bathroom that was stuck in 1980 so I naturally called the same contractor I had used three years prior. Ishai Josh Grimberg from New Age Construction & Remodeling is someone who easily understands your vision and is straightforward in presenting options that shape ideas into solutions. The entire bathroom was gutted since the configuration was outdated with the sink actually positioned in the bedroom. We changed the structure so everything you’d expect to find inside a bathroom was indeed inside which left room to construct a floor-to-ceiling linen closet adjacent to the bathroom, where the original sink was located. Gio, the cabinet maker did a terrific job building the cabinet using a picture I had torn from a magazine in addition to some details he gleaned from our conversation. The result is stunning. This built-in cabinet looks like it was always meant to be in the space and was crafted well beyond my expectations. The bathroom is striking as well; especially the tilework which is really the focal point of the room. I selected very light, almost white large tiles for inside the shower and surrounding walls. The tile was placed in such a way that it almost looks like a continuous piece without seams. I happened to be at home during part of the tile laying process so I witnessed how meticulous that Raul was with this work. He really did an awesome job. The craftspeople that Ishai works with are obviously talented and experts in their field which is just as important as selecting a contractor. I also had New Age Construction create a new exterior window in my family room. This would seem a rather simple job however the two existing windows I was trying to match were located very close to the ceiling making it difficult to install the correct header to satisfy code. Ishai and team were able to resolve this using some creative engineering ideas. He received clearance from a city inspector before pursuing the concept which gave me assurance this was a solid plan. I’d say the best part of working with New Age Construction is that the engagement is a process made up of many steps that all fit together really well in the end. I think sometimes as a homeowner it can be a challenge to remember this during the renovation but Ishai Josh does a good job reassuring and providing status. I find working with Ishai Josh a good experience as he is flexible, listens well and is trustworthy. I would highly recommend this company."

"I have worked with Lupeni of LT Concrete on several of my projects over the years.  My first project with him about 6 years ago was a concrete driveway and brick facing the front of my first house. The old blacktop driveway was in really bad shape with a very large tree with roots breaking up the blacktop. The front of the 1960 house was in need of updating. I had been searching for someone to do the driveway and brickwork. One day I was walking through my neighborhood and noticed a new concrete drive was just completed. I asked the homeowner who did the great job on her driveway. She referred me to Lupeni.  I am very picky on quality and workmanship and I was impressed with worked he had done on the neighbor’s house so I called him and we meet to go over the project.   We walked the project and Lupeni provided me with what could be done from a basic concrete driveway to a concrete driveway with brick edging and inlays. We chose the option with the brick edging and inlays.  For the front of the house he took us to a brick yard so my wife could pick out the brick for the front of the house as well as for the driveway edging. Lupeni made sure we picked the correct type of brick for each part of the project. After that went finalized the scope of work, cost and signed a written contract with a detailed scope of work.   Lupeni and his crew were out the next day with the equipment. They were on time and polite. They started the demo of old blacktop driveway and the removal of the old tree which was a big job. They graded the driveway with a better slope than was originally there. They dug the trenches and installed the drain pipe and poured the sump pump basin, laid the brick edging for the driveway, and the wire mesh for the concrete.   I approved some change orders along the way (which were written with descriptions, costs and signed off by both Lupeni and myself.) The changes included some brick planter walls, the sump pump basin in the driveway by the garage and drain pipe to the street.   The brick work on the front of house was next. First they removed the old brick from around the front door and under the front bedroom window. The crew knew exactly what to do. They prepared the footing (the correct way) for the brick and used a water level and line to ensure each row of bricks was level. They made sure that the brick line was level from one side of the house to the other side of the house.  They laid the brick including the cap we had chosen to match the brick edging in the driveway.  The workmanship was outstanding.   Next came the concrete truck and the concrete was pumped through the long hose. His crew worked hard working the concreted to a great even finish. The crew really knew how to work the concrete.  The driveway turned out great.  And six years later it still looks great and no cracks have appeared yet.   The project finished up within the original contract amount and approved changed orders for the extras that I added along the way. By the way his suggestions he provided along the way were exactly the right thing to do. Lupine’s knowledge is vast with a good eye to detail and I would not hesitate to listen to him. I am more than happy I did. The project turned out better than I had imagined.   I have had lots of compliments from friends and others on the both the driveway and the brick work. When I was having some work done inside the house I had someone ask me who had done the work as he had noticed the great workmanship on it. I gave him Lupeni’s contact information.   When I decided to build a custom home I called Lupeni to do the brick work. Again I was going to put brick on the front of the house. I also decided to brick one of the chimneys creating a focal point for that side of the house which can be seen from the street.   Lupeini met me at the scheduled meeting time out at the job site to see the project and reviewed the scope of work with me. He provided me with a written scope of work and a very reasonable price. (I had bids from other contractors as well as part of the overall sub-contractor bid process that I went through on the building of the house).    His crew arrived as scheduled and started the preparing the site. Pallets of bricks were delivered and his crew got busy laying the brick. Again they ensured the level line across the front of the house. The front of the house looks great. Next they started on the chimney. His crew took care in laying the brick in perfect rows. I worked out the detail inlay that I want near the top third of the chimney with Lupeni and his crew put it together flawlessly. I have also have had many compliments on the brick work. And the chimney really did become a focal point.   For I also had him create some brick column bases for the patio cover posts and work was done flawlessly.  Again his crew was excellent, on time and on budget.   I will be using Lupeni and his crew again on my next projects.  I have been very happy with him and his crew and you will be too."

FAQs for brick or stone siding: install or completely replace projects in Alta Loma, CA

Brick siding offers numerous advantages, including high durability and resistance to harsh weather conditions, requiring minimal maintenance and lasting for generations. It provides natural insulation, enhancing energy efficiency by regulating indoor temperatures year-round. Brick is fire-resistant, improving home safety, and reduces external noise for a quieter indoor environment. Its timeless aesthetic appeal boosts curb appeal and can increase your home's resale value.

Yes, you can add brick to an existing house. One option is to remove the current siding and install full brick masonry, which involves laying traditional bricks with mortar for a solid brick exterior. Alternatively, you can opt for brick veneer siding, a thinner layer of real or manufactured brick applied over the existing structure. Brick veneer is typically more affordable and easier to install while still providing the aesthetic benefits of brick. Both methods can enhance your home's appearance and value.

Yes, installing brick siding often provides a significant return on investment. With an average ROI of around 77%, and some returns exceeding 80%, brick siding enhances curb appeal, energy efficiency, and longevity, making your home more attractive to potential buyers and potentially increasing resale value.

Brick siding is known for its exceptional longevity, often lasting over 100 years when properly maintained. Regular maintenance, like repointing mortar joints, ensures its durability over time. Brick veneer, while thinner than full brick masonry, is durable and can last up to 50 years or more with proper care. Both options offer long-lasting protection and value for your home.

When choosing brick siding, consider your budget, as costs can vary depending on brick type and installation method. Also, consider your desired aesthetic; different bricks offer various colors, textures, and styles to complement your home's architecture. Installation time and complexity are factors, with options like brick veneer being quicker and less labor-intensive than full brick masonry. Additionally, assess the maintenance requirements and durability to select the best option for your long-term needs.

Alternatives to brick siding include vinyl siding, which is cost-effective and low-maintenance and offers a variety of colors and styles. Wood siding provides a natural, classic look but requires more upkeep to prevent weather damage. Fiber cement siding is durable and can mimic the appearance of wood or masonry without the high maintenance. Each alternative has its own advantages, so consider factors like budget, aesthetics, and maintenance when making your choice.
