My house is brand new built this year (2014) single story with direct attic access. Every room has a pre-installed J-box in the center of the room with wiring to the wall switch. It's a very easy job with no old ceiling fan to remove or wires to run/fish. She gave me a retail cost of $89 per can light and $75 per ceiling fan. There is a small discount for Angie's list customers of 10% which is nice but not big enough to see a big price differential. I explained a large job of this sort should require bulk deal pricing and she disagreed although to be fair she attempted to "talk to her husband" to get a better price. After a reasonable amount of time she called back bu the answer was no. The company is reputable and pleasant to talk to but don't expect reasonable pricing regardless of the amount of work you have."
