"Sabino was great to work with. He was professional and thorough when initially inspecting roof. He completed a major job with tear off of layers of asphalt and cedar shingles. He installed the new roof with quality products. Most importantly he worked well with us in a honest manner when issues arose to rebuild a chimney and replace beams on a rotting porch. His prices were very reasonable. He did a solid job cleaning up the area when finished. It is never an easy experience to have an old roof torn off and replaced, but Sabino and his workers made the experience positive."

"Jim and his crew at Revive Renovators did a major renovation of our kitchen and built a bathroom. We couldn’t be happier with the results, the work was exceptional. Jim’s team was skilled in every aspect of the renovation—from construction and custom work to electrical and plumbing and were also incredibly respectful and helpful throughout the process. They often found and fixed unexpected issues mid-job, which saved us a lot of hassle. Revive Renovators was impressive with their commitment to minimizing disruption. Major renovations can throw your life into chaos, but Jim’s crew kept things running smoothly and cleaned up every day before they left. Having a team that could handle everything, including creating custom butcher block countertops, was convenient. We didn’t need to call in any other specialists, which made things streamlined. We are thrilled with our new kitchen and bath and will definitely be using Revive Renovators for all our future home repair and improvement needs"

"Summary: The Tri-Town team was very responsive and considerate, providing reliable service and quality materials at a fair price, with timely follow-up to questions/concerns even over 6 months later. Details: Of three companies contacted for this job, Tri-Town's owner (Rick), with the assistance of their courteous office manager (Lori), was the quickest to respond and the best at following up. Both the owner and the job manager (Nick) were very patient in answering my questions about the job design and material options, including the re-use of materials that were in good shape. Given the unknowns of the job (e.g., edge rot, signs of carpenter ants), they provided an estimate that was clear about multiple contingency options. The price was fair - similar to or slightly less than the other quotations. They were willing to adjust the price for work that I could complete myself, and even worked directly with me on installing the new rail posts to ensure I didn't void the new roof warranty. Tri-Town included multiple before and after photos as part of the final invoice/report. Overall, the job was well done. Minor issues and resolution: The roof was first assessed in autumn and Tri-Town was honest in acknowledging that the work should not be done until spring to make sure temperatures were suitable for proper EPDM adhesive setting conditions. We hade to use plastic sheeting and roof patch on the old roof to help prevent further damage during the winter. But we were not forgotten - the office manager called the following spring to get the work scheduled. The work crew was slightly "rough around the edges", but probably not more so than other typical roofing companies. Flicked cigarette butts on the lawn were later picked up. A loud radio was turned down upon request and with an apology. There may be a couple roofing companies in the area that are a bit more refined, but you'll probably pay more for their matching polo shirts. A sub-contractor quickly installed the new gutter, but eye-balled an incorrect (slightly reverse) slope - however, the Tri-Town team fixed the condition within about a week of my call. Several months later, a small leak developed during heavy rains. It was near an upstairs door entry, so it may not have been directly related to Tri-Town work, but they still sent a team within about a week to re-caulk all the edges around the roof and chimney free of charge. Combined with a bit of my own door-step re-caulking, there is no more leak."

"Project went well. Eric is very detail oriented. He provides detailed quotes which explictly list all work to be done. If unexpected things pop up, Eric will create an additional work order with the costs and job details spelled out. You will not have issues with Eric regarding what was said or implied during the estimating and planning process. Very clean operation using floor masking and dust/dirt control measures. Cleans up every night before leaves. We only had 2-3 nights where the toilet in the remodel room wasn't available. Always reviews any small changes and/or fixture placements before undertaking them. Eric and his crew are personable, which is an important consideration when you will have someone basically living with you for 4-5 weeks. Always on time. Well organized. We have used Diebolt Woodworks for two other projects in which we were very pleased. We highly recommend Diebolt Woodworks."

"Both projects went very well and we couldn't be more pleased that we hired Joel to do the work. He is very attentive to the details, makes sure you are pleased with everything as the work progresses, and allowed us to select the things we wanted to use. All of the workmanship was of high quality. Both rooms look terrific. This is an older home and Joel has lots of experience with renovating them and all the issues that come up. We always felt our projects were in good hands. He is very busy so you'll need to book well in advance of your project, but he and his crew are worth the wait. They all worked really well together, were efficient, polite, and listened to the homeowners ideas. You couldn't ask for better contractors. I would absolutely use them again for future projects."

"<p>Sales rep gave a great estimate and was confident Besoi could match shingle color perfectly by just looking at it.  Was fairly sure of the leak source, plumbing vents were improperly installed and inviting water penetration.  The original builder also carelessly placed 3 plumbing vents all within 4' apart from each other and 2 of which are 12" from the edge of the roof.  I asked the sales rep if they'd be able to combine some of them, even though that would be atypical to what they'd normally address.  He explained while unlikely, they have done it before, and the installer will assess the difficulty of it when he gets there and then decide on how much cost that would add.  I thought that was a fair assessment. I was also very pleased he was one of the few contractors that was confident this could be fixed with a repair rather than a whole tear off which several contractors wanted to do.  The roof was less than ~10 years old, based on memories of neighbors from the previous owners and judging from appearances.  Sales rep anticipated being able to do the job within in a week of decision.  </p> <p>I checked a few other contractors estimates and got back to Besroi in week's time, which understandably pushed out my date another 2 weeks.  Can't expect things to stay the same in a week's time.  Mark from Besoi came out to do the work and for after just looking at the roof he had a slightly different assessment than the sales rep.  #1 the shingles the sales rep ordered were not the same color and were not going to match perfectly.  #2 He did not think the plumbing vents were the source of the leak, instead he believed it to be the skylight.  #3 He would never consider moving a plumbing vent under any circumstance no matter the amount of worked involved, he's never done it for any client before, period. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /></p> <p>#1 Was the most upsetting because if it couldn't match the color exactly this posed a problem for both appearances and reselling the house in the future.  </p> <p>#2 Was not completely unexpected so I'd chalk it up the installer being more experienced than the sales rep.  Mark confirmed his guess on the leak source once he started removing some of the shingles.  When he showed me the damage left by years of small but constant water intrusion there was no doubt. </p> <p>#3 While fortunately it wasn't high in my priority list, I did a pinch of being mislead by the sales rep.  But I'd give them the benefit of the doubt and guess that it came down to the sales rep not communicating down client expectations.  Mark reassured me that after he was done with the plumbing vents there would be no chance of them failing before the next roof tear off.</p> <p><br /></p> <p>Despite these problems, it all fortunately worked out in the end and I would definitely use Besroi again in the future.  After an hour or so of calling around they were able to find the color match of the shingles, and boy did they match perfectly, you couldn't even tell any shingles were replaced at all.  And  In addition to the original work, reflashed the skylight, replaced the damaged plywood, redid the shingles, added enough ice shield that went up beyond the skylight just to ensure performance (it was originally only 4' and stopped at the skylight and was instead replaced with about 8').  The additional work only tacked on an extra $120. So in summary, I'm very pleased with their work despite the miscommunications.  However if a roofer promises to match the color of your existing roof, insist on having them take back a color sample for color matching no matter how confident they are they can do it by just eyeballing.  And for leak fixes, never expect the assessment to match reality 100% of the time.  A leak only shows its true colors when you start taking the shingles off and looking at the damage underneath.</p> <p><br /></p> <br />"

FAQs for major home repair (general contractor) projects in Angola, NY

In many cases, it’s much less expensive to convert a bus than to buy an RV, especially if you’re considering a newer RV model, which can exceed $100,000.

Another huge benefit of school bus conversion is that you are in control of the renovation project. You get to pick your camper's new layout and all the appliances and furniture.

While school buses can easily cost $300,000 when they're new, you can often find used buses for just a few thousand dollars. These vehicles experience extreme depreciation due to government regulations; they can only be used for so long before they must be replaced. Due to those same regulations, other government agencies cannot purchase them for their own uses, so the consumer market is the only place they can go.

The length of time it takes to convert a bus depends on the scope of the project (and size of the bus), how much work is DIY vs. done by a professional contractor, and how much work you’re doing up front.

In general, expect at least a couple of months for a conversion, but larger conversions could take six months to a year. Remember: You can tackle projects as you go: Get the basic work done so that it’s livable, and then continue to enhance your living space over time.
