"Mark installed our home windows at a great price and with great service. He was responsive and timely, not only with the initial installation, but in TWO subsequent follow-ups to replace a damaged window. Mark goes above and beyond and I will continued to work with 21st Century for our upcoming front door project."

"This company's service is great. I had a number of windows in my home that had problems with rot and I wanted to make sure that their replacement was done right with quality materials and quality workmanship. Renewal by Anderson did a great job. In addition to installing the new windows, they also took care of some issues with boards underneath that were rotted. To ensure that I did not have rot on the trim again, they use the PVC trim around the window. For one of the windows, I requested a window with different dimensions. This required new framing, drywall work, and some new siding. On the siding, rather than just installing some small filler pieces, they replaced whole pieces of so that I would not have any seams. Also, the new siding they installed was an exact match to my old siding. After painting, you cannot tell that the window size was changed, everything looks great."

"Over the past 6 years J&E has replaced all of the windows and doors in our 63 year old home. This spring they did a major project-took down a load bearing exterior wall and installed a 12' french doorwall. The results are stunning! Great people, good pricing and excellent work!"

"When we started looking to replace our windows, we had no idea what company to go with. I found Pure Energy Window Company on the internet. I did as much research on them as I could and could not find a negative review. We had already scheduled Renewal by Anderson to come out and do a quote, along with a couple local companies, then I called Pure Energy to schedule an appointment. So helpful and informative in that first phone call, all questions were answered and appointment scheduled right away. We were lucky enough to have Adrian, one of the owners, as our sales rep. He brought in a sample of their window and my husband and I were immediately blown away by the appearance alone, hands-down better quality than any other company had to show us. At the end of it all, of course Adrian stepped outside to let us discuss it alone, ZERO pressure from Adrian, none of the usual "well if you sign up right now, I can give you THIS deal . . . ." I just kept opening and closing the sample window, absolutely amazed at how easy it all was and the quality of the window. We decided to commit to Pure Energy Windows and have not had one regret since that decision. Not only are their windows amazing, but every single person you talk to at that company is friendly and helpful. Because of the pandemic, our delivery date got pushed back a few months (obviously, not their fault), but they kept us informed the whole time. When the windows were installed the crew was absolutely phenomenal. Their boots never actually touch any of your flooring as they immediately start spreading drop cloths as they walk into your house. Extremely hardworking, friendly group of guys, and when they left there was not a single spot that we had to clean up, inside or outside the home. We were just left with amazingly beautiful new windows. We have a Cape Cod style home and only have central air in our upstairs, so on hot summer days we also run a room air conditioner in one of the rooms on the main level. Since our windows were installed the first week of June we have had many super hot 90 degree days, high humidity . . . but we have not had to run the room air conditioner since that time, and our central air conditioner actually turns off once in a while which it has not done during the summer months for years!! So our electric bill has gone down! Our experience with Pure Energy Window Company has been nothing but positive. If you are looking to replace your old windows, we highly recommend this company."

"It was the first time I've used Nevet's but I would not hesitate to hire them again. <br /> Sam, the owner of this independent family-run company came to our house to give us an estimate. The following week, after he ordered the needed parts, he came over and personally did all the work quickly and competently. He encountered a couple of windows that were designed to be difficult to replace the glass (so the owner would be forced to order a complete new frame) but Sam took the windows to his shop and replaced the glass anyway, going above and beyond the call of duty, without asking more money to do so. <br /> Sam was consistently polite, professional and honest. <br /> It's good to know that companies like this still exist! <br />"

"Great. He came out to inspect the broken window quickly. It took a week to get the glass ordered, but as soon as it was in, we schedule the install and it took less than an hour to complete the install. Everything was as it should be. No issues, no surprises, no broken promises."

"By far the most professional, friendly company I quoted with in Metro Detroit. Jeff found me the perfect front door where other companies couldn’t. He was responsive, detail oriented and install went so smoothly. I will definitely get my replacement windows from Clarkston Window and Door next year!!"

FAQs for new windows service projects in Ann Arbor, MI

Yes, bay windows add value to a home. They enhance the property by expanding the interior space and flooding rooms with natural light. Their unique three-panel design creates a stunning focal point that elevates curb appeal and modernizes living areas. This architectural detail increases both functional space and visual appeal, directly contributing to higher home resale value.

Yes, all window types have the potential to become part of a bay window configuration when modified correctly. The transformation involves reconfiguring standard windows into a multi-panel design that features a larger central window flanked by smaller ones. This process requires precise professional planning and custom framing to ensure durability, visual balance, and structural integrity.

Bay windows typically consist of three glass panels extending beyond the home's exterior walls, with a larger center panel flanked by two smaller ones. In contrast, bow windows are composed of four to six equally sized glass panels that create a gentle curve and do not extend as far from the exterior walls.

Bay windows cost more than standard windows because their expansive, multi-panel design requires additional materials and skilled labor. Their construction involves extra glass, specialized frame components that extend outward, and complex operating mechanisms. These technical demands necessitate precise engineering and multiple expert installations, thereby significantly increasing both material and labor expenses.

Bay windows cost three times more than standard double-hung windows because their design requires extra panels, expanded framing, and a more complex installation process. The advanced construction method increases material consumption and demands comprehensive expertise, while specialized window treatments further elevate expenses. This all results in a significant difference in overall project cost.
