"Sales and installation were done top notch, without high pressure sales. Just follow up for measurements and ensuring accuracy of what is wanted, and accurate ordering. Measurement and installation crew were accurate, timely and meticulous on the installation which had some challenging openings from the existing brick around the previous windows. They didn’t rush over areas that gave some difficulties but did it right the first time. I would recommend Zen Windows for anyone looking for quality window company for replacement windows."

"When we decided to replace all 19 of our windows, we had already decided to call Ringer, who had done the windows in my brother's house, and my parents' house, with rave reviews from them. Georgia came out and gave us a quote for the windows plus a sliding patio door. Fast forward 11 months (pandemic, supply chain issues, a bit of a mix-up on Ringer's end), and our windows and door have been installed. During the time we were waiting, we got 2 letters from Ringer, explaining what was going on. Ringer makes their own windows, and they were working overtime, training new teams to do a quality job, waiting for glass orders to come in, etc. Greg Ringer responded to my emails, and eventually I ended up getting calls from Jake. Toward the end we were getting impatient and crabby, but let me tell you that the end result was so great that we are very happy. I'm pleased to be able to honestly write a good review. We were able to tell immediately that cold air is no longer coming in at the window and door frames. The panes of glass don't feel as cold to the touch. The dogs are a bit sad that the hot sun is no longer beating in for them to bask in! All of the windows are finished beautifully - great job fitting/caulking/sealing. Our house had a couple of oddities which the crew were able to take care of perfectly. We had some fake windows right in the front of our house, which had screens and curtains, backed by drywall. They were able to switch gears for a little while so I could go out and buy some blinds to replace the 40-some-year-old curtains that had been sealed inside. They installed the blinds for us. We have a bay window, and they had to replace all of the framing for that. The huge blind that covered the bay window was damaged, and they actually made new brackets to get it back up and functioning. Ringer took down all of our blinds and put them back up as they were working. Throughout the process, the crew put down moving blankets inside and outside to keep everything clean. They picked up all the trash. Only one or two panes of glass got broken when they were removing old windows, and all of that was cleaned up. Everyone was friendly, and communication was very good. It took 2.5 days to get all of our work done. There were only 2 tiny details that needed fixing, and they came out the very next day and took care of everything. The windows have a lifetime warranty as long as we live in our house, and if we ever sell the house, the new owners can get a 10-year warranty at no cost. Our Ringer windows were worth the wait."

"We had our new windows installed 10 days ago and we are very happy so far. Even if there have a been a bit of delays due to COVID 19 issues, all went very well from the beginning to the end. The team that has installed our new windows was very nice and was always happy to answer any questions or requests we had. They have made a great job (even cleaning very well) and the new windows look really nice on our house. All the process was very well explained by Darin and we had no surprise."

"I was very wonderfully pleased when Taz and Jody came to replace all my windows with Renewal by Anderson windows. Taz and Jody worked well together, focused on the job at hand while, at the same time, being very pleasant to interact with. Overall, I couldn't be more pleased with my windows AND knowing that reliable and capable people, Taz and Jody, did the installation."

"Shane and his crew did an outstanding job on my roof replacement. The work included replacing the roof, replacing rotten trim boards and the wood siding on my fireplace. The workmanship was great and the crew was there early in the morning till late in the evening and finished the job in less than a week. They kept my yard and driveway clean throughout the project. His company had roofed my next door neighbor's roof twice and I saw how well the work was performed. I had gotten other roofing estimates, but Shane beat them all. I would highly recommend Dayton Contracting Roofing."

"Adrian and Jean did a fantastic job. The guys worked hard and did not quit in the heat of the day. My windows had not been cleaned for 5 or 6 years and were just filthy. When they were done, they really did seem to sparkle, and I feel like I have a new patio!! Wonderful and reliable company. I highly recommend them. I had "the works" done, but Sam the owner broke down the costs so that I could have chosen to have some things done but not others."

FAQs for new windows service projects in Austin, TX

Yes, bay windows add value to a home. They enhance the property by expanding the interior space and flooding rooms with natural light. Their unique three-panel design creates a stunning focal point that elevates curb appeal and modernizes living areas. This architectural detail increases both functional space and visual appeal, directly contributing to higher home resale value.

Yes, all window types have the potential to become part of a bay window configuration when modified correctly. The transformation involves reconfiguring standard windows into a multi-panel design that features a larger central window flanked by smaller ones. This process requires precise professional planning and custom framing to ensure durability, visual balance, and structural integrity.

Bay windows typically consist of three glass panels extending beyond the home's exterior walls, with a larger center panel flanked by two smaller ones. In contrast, bow windows are composed of four to six equally sized glass panels that create a gentle curve and do not extend as far from the exterior walls.

Bay windows cost more than standard windows because their expansive, multi-panel design requires additional materials and skilled labor. Their construction involves extra glass, specialized frame components that extend outward, and complex operating mechanisms. These technical demands necessitate precise engineering and multiple expert installations, thereby significantly increasing both material and labor expenses.

Bay windows cost three times more than standard double-hung windows because their design requires extra panels, expanded framing, and a more complex installation process. The advanced construction method increases material consumption and demands comprehensive expertise, while specialized window treatments further elevate expenses. This all results in a significant difference in overall project cost.
