"We were very happy with the work they did. Everything went very smoothly and they cleaned up well after themselves. We really do like the windows and it really makes the house look a lot nicer. Their response time was within a reasonable amount of time from what they said it would be."

"Jake came out to our home and was ever so kind to sit down and talk with us about replacing our windows. He even brought a window with him to show us up front what they are like and how great they are. He explained everything in great detail to us about the company, the installation, and the windows. After his explanation, we wouldn’t choose any other window but from Universals Windows Direct. We are so pleased with our choice going with Universal Windows Direct. Thanks to Jake for his help!"

"It went very well. It was a difficult installation because the previous owner had tarred the windows shut. Dave did a good job and got the work done in a timely manner. There was a hole that he patched and didn't charge extra. We ordered the windows on a Thursday and they were installed the next Tuesday. I would use them again and recommend their service."

They did all my windows and were very well priced and honest. Mike also took care of out shower doors and home gym downstairs (installed mirrors on the wall). "Rob and his team are honest and reliable and I look forward to having them replace the rest of our windows and doors once the money is saved.  Rob's price for Pella windows was less than the quote from the local Pella retailer.  In fact, I believe we were able to have Rob paint and install the windows for the same price Pella wanted to charge us just for installation.  They carry a variety of price points, and there is no pressure to buy the top of the line.  In fact, Rob has advised us against spending money on certain things where others probably would have taken advantage of us as new homeowners.  With one of the windows and our front door, there was considerable rot and insect damage discovered at the time of installation.  The crew removed and replaced sheathing, window frames, etc., to ensure that everything was "made right" before the new windows and doors were installed.  This extra work did not result in any increase in the final bill.   Many others in our neighborhood have also used this company for siding/window/door & roof replacements."

FAQs for new windows service projects in Cleveland, OH

Yes, bay windows add value to a home. They enhance the property by expanding the interior space and flooding rooms with natural light. Their unique three-panel design creates a stunning focal point that elevates curb appeal and modernizes living areas. This architectural detail increases both functional space and visual appeal, directly contributing to higher home resale value.

Yes, all window types have the potential to become part of a bay window configuration when modified correctly. The transformation involves reconfiguring standard windows into a multi-panel design that features a larger central window flanked by smaller ones. This process requires precise professional planning and custom framing to ensure durability, visual balance, and structural integrity.

Bay windows typically consist of three glass panels extending beyond the home's exterior walls, with a larger center panel flanked by two smaller ones. In contrast, bow windows are composed of four to six equally sized glass panels that create a gentle curve and do not extend as far from the exterior walls.

Bay windows cost more than standard windows because their expansive, multi-panel design requires additional materials and skilled labor. Their construction involves extra glass, specialized frame components that extend outward, and complex operating mechanisms. These technical demands necessitate precise engineering and multiple expert installations, thereby significantly increasing both material and labor expenses.

Bay windows cost three times more than standard double-hung windows because their design requires extra panels, expanded framing, and a more complex installation process. The advanced construction method increases material consumption and demands comprehensive expertise, while specialized window treatments further elevate expenses. This all results in a significant difference in overall project cost.
