"I had Steve from WindPro install 13 “Hurricane” windows in 2017. I reviewed his company at that time as Excellent for the prompt, honest, and quality workmanship. I had a minor problem recently with a window as a result of cleaning one of the windows. I called WindPro for some advice....Steve made time to check the problem personally, and make an adjustment. WindPro is the company you should use for window replacement!"

"Karoly replaced many impact windows over 10 years ago. When a problem arose with several windows, we called Karoly and Jesse Laskowske, Operations Manager, came to my home to inspect and secured the problem. He also directed me how to submit a warranty claim and was instrumental in dealing with the adjuster. When replacement parts arrived, 2 Karoly employees spent 4 hours making the repairs. This level of service is extraordinary, especially after so many years. I strongly recommend anyone looking to replace windows and doors call Karoly Windows and Doors. Many companies sell and install windows, but support years later is rare."

"AVOID THIS COMPANY IF YOU HAVE A LARGE SLIDING GLASS DOOR. I called Sliding Door Roller Replacement, Inc. based on the reviews I read. After scheduling an appointment, the representative concluded the call saying 'we don't cover glass breaks if you close the door too hard' (giving me the impression that the new rollers would be incredible). On the day of the appointment, two guys came and disassembled the sliding door (took about an hour). When they were done, there was a slight improvement in performance. Personally, I don't believe they put on the right rollers based on the size and weight of the slider (8'H x 4'W). It's been over a year since the installation, and honestly the door OPERATES WORSE than it did before I called Sliding Door Roller Replacement, Inc. Given their name, you would think they would be experts on sliding door roller replacement. If you have a large sliding glass door, you'll want to HIRE A PROFESSIONAL company that understands the correct roller replacement for a larger slider. I did end up calling the company to see what could be done. Unfortunately for me I was one-month past the warranty. They did offer $25 refund, but really all I want is my sliding glass door to work properly. TERRIBLE OUTCOME AND A COMPLETE WASTE OF $175.00."

"We got quotes from 5 contractors to replace all windows and sliding doors with hurricane rated, low E windows and doors. The time required for the job was 9-10 working days, as indicated by all. The verbal and written contract with Bozarth called for completion by mid-June, 2018. To-day is October 20, 2018, and the job is not yet complete. We are seniors and this incompetence by Bozarth wrecked our plans for the summer. Below a summary of events resulting in more than 4 months delay: 1) A new window pane was smashed due to careless installation practices. 2) Sloppy and careless caulking of all windows and sliding doors possibly hiding gaps that exceed the maximum allowable in installation instructions and compromise the strength required for hurricane wind pressures. Three days will be required by a painting contractor to hide the shoddy caulking inside and out, and the damage done to the stucco. 3) Careless installation of a sliding door resulted in an unacceptably large gap on top. 4) The window insert to the office door was of the wrong size and had to be re-ordered. 5) Hurricane panels for the bay window had not been ordered and were not available for installation in June. 6) The roller of a sliding door was damaged due to improper installation practices. 7)The smashed window was replaced with a pane without any labels or documentation showing it was Low E 366, insulated, HVHZ glass; and the window frame was chewed up by careless use of the tool cutting the adhesive to remove the smashed pane. Complete replacement window was installed on Sept 24, more than 3 months from original completion time frame. 8) Sliding door was re-installed to close the gap, but the lower LH frame corner broke apart due to excessive force trying to lift the frame with a wrecking bar placed underneath the track and not the vertical member of the frame, and that a piece of wood which was installed on top of the frame (causing the ugly gap) had not been removed. The frame was not repaired and the sealant not replaced. 9) The hurricane panels, when they finally arrived, were too small, did not fit, and had to be re-ordered. 10) The hurricane panel installation was not done per the contract with an h header on top, but with ugly and sloppily installed bolts sticking out of the wall which require a ladder for panel installation. The bolts had to be removed and an h header installed. 11) The hurricane panels ordered by Bozarth are 2 5/16 inches thick, the h header is 2 inches, resulting in a severe mismatch and extreme and unacceptable difficulty to forcefit the panels. 12) The hurricane panels ordered by Bozarth were not labeled and not made by the company shown in the Product Approval document provided by Bozarth, and not approved for use in an HVHZ zone as specified in the contract, and need to be ordered from the correct manufacturer. We have had all windows and all doors replaced in our previous homes with the job done as promised and in a professional manner. This experience with Bozarth has been the worst show in incompetence and a nightmare."

"This note is to say a special Thank You, to Tom and Ted who came for a dropped window. Great response time! They came over in 2 hours and fixed the window that fell off track. They checked the other frequently used windows also. I also want to acknowledge the young lady who answered the phone call. Very understanding and helpful.. 🙏 Didn’t catch her name. Thank you all 3."

"Excellent from Ashe. They were able to come out exactly when I wanted (with a week notice), and were right on time. Removed numerous large mirrors and reinstalled after new kitchen and bathroom counters were put in place. Did the job well, professional, and I would hire them again for a larger project we have later this year. Recommend."

"I recently needed to replace the glass in several windows in my home. After doing extensive research and soliciting several bids, I decided to hire A-Christian Glass & Mirror. I was thoroughly impressed with how Randy handled the whole process, putting me at ease knowing that I had hired the right person. He explained to me the process of replacing the glass, came and did measurements, provided me a quote on-site, and was great with follow-up. The process was seamless. He ordered my window glass panes the first business day after providing me with a quote, and two weeks later, the window panes were installed. In the world of contractors, I would never go anywhere else for my glass and mirror needs!"

"I have a block house built in 1996. I recently starting researching ways to “harden” my home against Florida storms. I initially thought a window film application would be the best solution. As I investigated glass technology, I realized the newer glass designs are far superior. I contacted Ryan at Reece Builders. We discussed details. I have a large number of windows, so we did the project in a couple of stages. In every case, every aspect of the project was flawless. The measurement was absolutely spot on. The installers were excellent and gifted craftsmen. Every new window fit perfectly. Everything was done correctly the first time. There were no “re works” for any reason. I mentioned Ryan by name here, but every single member of the Reece team is an outstanding professional and a pleasure to work with. When I look the construction of the Reece window compared to the original builder-supplied window, there is simply no comparison. The Reece window looks and feels much more robust, solid, and very well made. I have two east facing windows left to replace, literally next week. In the morning I put my hand on the old builder windows, and it feels like a hot frying pan. I go to the double insulated gas-filled Reece windows and they are cool to the touch. Actually, the vinyl frame is mildly warm, but I would expect that especially this summer of relentless heat and clear skies. That is the only heat transfer compared to the entire surface area of the old window. This is a great product and an excellent company to work with. I would recommend them and would love to work another project with them. I wish I had more windows to replace!! Thanks Reece ! Thanks Angie !!"

FAQs for new windows service projects in Tampa, FL

Yes, bay windows add value to a home. They enhance the property by expanding the interior space and flooding rooms with natural light. Their unique three-panel design creates a stunning focal point that elevates curb appeal and modernizes living areas. This architectural detail increases both functional space and visual appeal, directly contributing to higher home resale value.

Yes, all window types have the potential to become part of a bay window configuration when modified correctly. The transformation involves reconfiguring standard windows into a multi-panel design that features a larger central window flanked by smaller ones. This process requires precise professional planning and custom framing to ensure durability, visual balance, and structural integrity.

Bay windows typically consist of three glass panels extending beyond the home's exterior walls, with a larger center panel flanked by two smaller ones. In contrast, bow windows are composed of four to six equally sized glass panels that create a gentle curve and do not extend as far from the exterior walls.

Bay windows cost more than standard windows because their expansive, multi-panel design requires additional materials and skilled labor. Their construction involves extra glass, specialized frame components that extend outward, and complex operating mechanisms. These technical demands necessitate precise engineering and multiple expert installations, thereby significantly increasing both material and labor expenses.

Bay windows cost three times more than standard double-hung windows because their design requires extra panels, expanded framing, and a more complex installation process. The advanced construction method increases material consumption and demands comprehensive expertise, while specialized window treatments further elevate expenses. This all results in a significant difference in overall project cost.
