"To sum up in just a few words - SUPERIOR WORK AND OUTSTANDING VALUE! Prior to hiring Rock Designs LLC, I had received several estimates from other contractors. A few of them seemed overly pricey, another was pretty vague on price and installation, while another seemed competitive with Rock Design. However, none of them took the time that Mike Perito, owner of Rock Design, did in carefully explaining exactly what and how he would proceed, as well as the product itself. What I also liked about Mike was that he was punctual, thoughtful and a genuinely nice person. After contracting with him (at an extraordinarily fair price), he showed up on time, exactly when he said he would. He completed my patio in just 2 days! The first day he brought the process material and he and a worker completely leveled, prepped and compacted the area. On his return (still totally on schedule) he began the actual installation. He was very careful and meticulous, and the outcome was spectacular! But if the outcome and quality of the work itself wasn't enough, Mike went the extra distance - at no additional cost! - to go to a local nursery near my home and pick up yard of top soil to dress AND seed the area around the patio! "We've had a muddy yard and water seepage since we bought the house thirty+ years ago. We finally decided enough was enough and went looking for drainage experts. We found TJB, and we're glad we did. Ted was knowledgeable, friendly, and extremely professional. He recommended installing a system of underground drains and grading the yard so water would be directed away from the house. As others have noted, he sent us a variety of literature describing the techniques he was going to use. As an arborist, he also helped us figure out which of our trees needed to be removed. (TJB doesn't do tree work.) One thing I always watch for is how much the boss trusts his crew. Ted and his son were confident enough not to micromanage their employees. "A real shout out to a professional crew.  Carl was in charge, he was onsite actively overseeing and handling the project...he had his hands dirty throughout driving diggers etc.  His whole team were excellent...they executed a clean, tidy, job and you could tell they were safe and knew their stuff, it was a large job and they were so efficient or effective I am not sure what describes the project best but they handled it with knowledge.  I would highly recommend using them for tree projects."
