"My mother-in-law's home has an older electric garage door. It has been showing signs of age for some time. Wednesday night as I opened it, it started squeaking very loudly and binding. It went up but wouldn't go back down. I searched for garage door repair and Goody came up as one the first results. I made an appointment to have someone come out. He was scheduled for late evening but called and actually was able to come a couple hours early. He looked at the door and gave us a couple of options: replace entirely as no longer made or he could make a couple of repairs to allow it to keep working as well as it could for its age. We opted to have him just do the repairs. He replaced a broken roller/wheel, put up a new bracket to attach the control arm to and he lubricated every hinge, joint and spring. After he was done he tested it several times, made a few adjustments and charged us a lot less than we feared. Wyatt did a phenomenal job."

"Dishonest & Extremely Deceptive. I fell for the High Pressured Sales Tactic and agreed to the 29.99 Home special lube. The tech scares ya by telling you the spring is going to break and door is going to fall. Yes I fell for it $1,683.22 Mistake. Oh and topped off with an auto charge membership that was not explained at all. I cancelled and will NEVER Recommend this company. There are a lot of other companies that are honest, this is not one of them! Oh and tells me my springs are old like early 2000's when the house was constructed in 2023, then says they must have used old parts sitting around for a long time. Yes I fell for it! "

"I won't be using this company or recommending them again. I looked a 4 different companies for my garage door replacement. I have used this company before and was happy so I went with them even though they weren't the cheapest. During the on-site inspection we agreed that the weather stripping needed to be replaced. As someone who isn't 'in this business' this seemed like a normal thing and I expected it to be done. I believe they forgot until I reminded them of the discussion. They wanted to charge me $200 additional to come out and install weather stripping and make a minor door seal adjustment at the bottom. When I pushed back I found out that there was a lack of ownership and in their eyes it was my fault for not ensuring what we agreed to was on the quote. From a customer's perspective, Something we agreed needed to be done is included unless told otherwise. They got defensive and went on about how long they have been in business instead of owning it."

"After reviewing garage door service providers on Angie’s List I decided to call Arizona Door Doctor in Tempe. They answered on the fourth ring and I described my problem to them. They were very friendly and responsive to my needs. After giving me a ballpark estimate of costs and options for the job I agreed to hiring them. They said they had a service technician in my area and asked if they could arrive within the hour. I was pleased and agreed. The tech (Ryan) actually arrived at my home within 30 minutes. He reviewed the job and gave me cost options for the repairs. I agreed it made sense to replace both springs rather than just the broken one since they were both 20 years old. The repairs only took an hour. But what really pleased me was the little “extras” that they did above and beyond the repair at no additional charge. Specifically they adjusted the sensitivity on my garage door opener ,which had been causing my door to auto reverse occasionally during winter months. In addition he lubricated all of the roller bearings and hinges on the entire door and never even mentioned it. The door now operates as well as it did when it was brand new. You simply cannot ask for any better service than what I received from the AZ Door Doctor. I am very pleased and would highly recommend them to anyone period!"
