"Found JE through Angie s List. Within hours of the initial call he was in my home working on my refrigerator. He showed up when he said he would, which I appreciated. Once he made the refrigerator repair, I asked him to look at my garbage disposal. He quickly discovered the problem and got it working again. Had him look at my oven next. He pinpointed the problem, and told me I could save money by easily making the repair myself then he explained how. He could ve overcharged or tried to take advantage of what turned out to be quick fixes, but he didn t. I respect that kind of honesty and will certainly use JE again the next time I have an appliance or plumbing issue."

"Overall experience was positive. The diagnosis was good and only required a $15 part that was able to install myself. My frig is working great. While my total cost for the repair was $80 which included the $35 diagnostic fee, the lowest other price quote was over $400. I am very pleased with this new type of appliance repair. I will be recommending this my family and friends."

"One the three occasions I have used A Plus Appliance Repair, Gerald has been the technician sent to my house.  I'll request Gerald next time I call A Plus.  Gerald had to read the electrical schematic diagram to identify the circuit boards (two of them) that were the leading suspects in my refrig being totally dead.  He ordered two new boards and returned within about two days to install them.  Gerald told me replacing one board - the one that got wet - might fix my refrig, but the second board may have shorted out in the breakdown process and need to be replaced as well.  It turns out my refrig needed only one circuit board replaced.  Had Gerald been a dishonest man, he could have sold me two circuit boards, but he did not.  Same thing happened when he came to fix my washing machine.  The motor had stopped working in the washer.  Gerald got the motor working again and gave me several things to try to restart the motor if it stopped again.  He explained that maybe my motor was dying, but maybe not.  Now Gerald could have told me that my washer needed a new motor and made a bigger profit for his company, but he was honest. <br /> With A Plus, I also experienced quick appointment scheduling and Gerald kept all appointments within the time window. <br />"

"Our icemaker defied standard repair procedures. But then Mr. Burns virtually took the freezer apart, locating three loose wires at the bottom that were causing the problem. He replaced them with higher quality wires than were originally in the appliance. Our icemaker works perfectly now. Mr. Burns is a terrific appliance repairman and also very nice and responsive."

"A-1 Appliance Repair is the BEST service I have ever received from ANY company in my 30 years as an adult ( I'm 50 now). If you are looking for value, integrity, honesty, friendly company to help you with an appliance repair or issue this would be my 1st and only company to call. Once you have found the BEST company you just wish they did every service listed. (I did try & talk them into helping me with a few other things around my home but they declined) lol. I just can not say enough good things about this company. The owner really knows his stuff when it comes to repair. He told me what could be fixed and at a very reasonable fair price. He also told me I should just buy a new dishwasher due to the age & cost of parts it would be less expensive for me. Who does that these days? This will be the only repair company I will use from now on. Thank You Anthony & Greg !!!"

FAQs for fridge, freezer or ice maker repair or service projects in Arlington, TN

Most ice makers are similar in design, and some parts are interchangeable. However, if your ice maker has advanced filters or special features, it's best to use the same make and model to ensure everything works properly. Ask your appliance repair pro to check your appliance specifications to be sure.

With regular use and proper maintenance, an ice maker typically lasts about four to five years. If you keep up with tasks like changing the filters every six months, you might get up to 10 years out of your ice maker. Address any problems with your ice maker right away by calling an appliance professional to ensure you solve any issues before they escalate, helping to keep your ice maker running smoothly for longer.

Your refrigerator's age plays a big role in deciding whether to repair or replace the ice maker. If your fridge is nearing the end of its average 14-year lifespan, it might not be worth investing in expensive repairs since other parts could fail soon. Getting a diagnosis from a refrigerator repair pro can help you decide what's best.
