"We hired DMV Kitchen and Bath for a major kitchen and sunroom remodel, and the before-and-after transformation is incredible. Our old kitchen was narrow, dark, and closed off from the rest of the house. It is now bright, open, functional, and beautiful, with blue cabinetry, quartz countertops and backsplash, a large island, updated lighting, new appliances, and much better flow. One of the most impressive parts of the project was what they did with the original brick arches. Before the remodel, the arches were only visible from the sunroom side; the other side had been covered up. They preserved the arches and exposed them from both sides, turning them into a true architectural feature of the home. That detail alone made the whole space feel more open, intentional, and connected while still honoring the character of the house. "If you’re reading reviews right now and looking to find a contractor for your home remodel, you should seriously consider hiring Oral. You are making a big mistake if you don’t. We hired him for a kitchen remodel to make it more modern, add ventilation and change orientation of island to open the room. We probably interviewed at least 10 contractors and received even more quotes. Oral is extremely punctual, always on time and never off schedule. He is genuine and honest, has great communication and was on site constantly making sure everything was being done right and that the whole operation was running smooth. "We recently worked with Home Design to completely remodel our kitchen and highly recommend their work. We found Home Design after researching reputable kitchen remodelers on several websites. When we first contacted them, John reached out promptly to set up a visit to our home for an initial consultation. During the consultation, he offered several ideas for how we could restructure and reorganize our outdated kitchen. From there, we worked with Home Design to design a completely restructured kitchen area. It was a large project, requiring a full-scale demolition, entirely new cabinets and countertops, new appliances, new flooring, adding a gas line for a gas range, and electrical work. John and Marcus offered an initial design, and they were very responsive when we spent several weeks going back and forth adjusting the design, moving appliances, etc. They worked with us to craft a design we were very happy with and implemented our requested changes well throughout the design process. They offered a very competitive price that respected the original budget we discussed with them. We started demolition on our old kitchen right as the COVID-19 pandemic was picking up steam in the Washington metro area, and after demolition was complete we asked Home Design to pause the project for several months because we were not comfortable having contractors in our home. John and team were supportive of this decision; over the next three months, they reached out periodically to see if our calculus had changed, offering ideas for safety measures we could implement, but never pressuring us to make a decision we were uncomfortable with. When Virginia moved to a phased reopening in June, we were excited to get back to work with them. It took their crew about three weeks to complete the project from there. We found overall communication before and during the project to be good. Our main contractor on-site, Eddy, was great at communicating what supplies we needed to provide and asking questions to make sure the work was exactly as we wanted it. We absolutely love the final results. John and Marcus recommended a gorgeous line of white cabinets, and we chose a beautiful quartz from their showroom, which has a great selection. Their crew ably installed all the features of the kitchen: recessed lighting, pendant lighting, under-cabinet lighting, sink and faucet, appliances, and cabinet hardware.
