In most cases and appliance repair is a process. More often than not, an appliance may have to be taken apart to diagnose it properly. We don't just stand there and look at your appliance and tell you what "might be" wrong with it. We take the time to take the appliance apart, diagnose it properly and give you an explanation of why and how the appliance started acting up. Sometimes the appliance can be fixed the same day, but more often than not a part will have to be ordered and a return visit will be warranted. So generally how it works is this, it's $99 per appliance to come out and diagnose the problem and give you an estimate for the repair. We offer a automatic 1 year parts and labor warranty on replacement parts. We don't order parts from websites. We order all our replacement parts from reputable parts suppliers so we can warranty the original OEM parts installed.\n

"Jeremy is AWESOME! My Maytag electric dryer wouldn't turn on. For more than a week, I tried working with another service to get the dryer repaired. They cancelled appointments twice. I found JC Appliance Services on Angi and was impressed by the reviews. Jeremy responded to my voicemail within minutes and carved out time the sane day to look at my dryer. He diagnosed the issue quickly (blown fuse within the dryer) and repaired it quickly...at a price less than half of what the other service quoted. I recommend Jeremy highly. If you need appliance repair or installation or plumbing work, contact him. He is fast, professional, courteous (he wore a face mask at my request since my wife is immune-compromised), and fair. Thank you Jeremy!"

"I’m thankful Carter Bros was my choice through Angi’s list. The oven portion of my gas range suddenly quit working. Bill came out the same day and was thorough and professional. He was unable to find the source of the failure and said it could be the motherboard and it could fail again and at that point I’ll need to weigh if the cost of replacing that mother board or replacing the 9 year old range makes more sense. I was only charged $199 and he spent over an hour trying to isolate the failure. I appreciate his honesty and not charging me an exorbitant price. I have saved their contact info and will use them whenever I have an appliance failure and will recommend this company to my neighbors and friends. "

FAQs for appliance (major electric appliance) installation and replacement projects in Arlington, WA

A pro starts by setting the units in place and connecting them to the right plumbing lines, electrical circuits, and, for the dryer, a vent. If the hookups already exist, the job is quick. When they don’t, the installer must add plumbing, outlets, or a vent run, which takes more time and increases the price, especially when the laundry area is located far from existing utilities.

You’ll need the right pros for a tight stacked setup. A natural-gas plumber handles the water lines, drain, and any gas work, while an electrician installs the circuit the dryer needs. If venting or framing changes are required, hire a general contractor to patch the drywall or adjust the framing so that everything meets code and operates safely.

Permanent models need complete plumbing, electrical, and—for dryers—vent hookups. Portable units skip most of that and can run on a standard outlet with a temporary water connection. If your home already has a code-approved hookup, you just connect the new appliances. If not, hire a licensed pro to add the lines and vent so the machines run safely and efficiently.

Relocating a hookup costs between $500 and $5,000, as it may involve installing new outlets, gas lines, vents, and drain pipes. The price increases when the new location is far from existing utilities or requires additional framing and drywall work. Have licensed professionals evaluate your layout, provide a quote for the move, and handle the installation so that every component meets code and works safely.
