"We have an old house and needed 9 windows replaced, including 1 large 3 panel, 2 door side panels, and 6 basement windows. Getting an initial estimate was easy, and the installation process was expalined to us in detail. We needed some of the windows in obscured glass and liked their options. The installation was done in good time and completed in one day, as expected. We are truly amazed with the fit and finishing of the new windows -they look great! We highly recommend Windorco and would definitely use them again!"

"Very hard to initially schedule a time or receive call backs but once the time was set up, everything went very well. They had limited product selection but we were able to do all windows but one and the coverings came in much ahead of schedule and installation was very quick and well done. Installation and cordless shades were no upcharge which kept the price down quite a bit."

"I called Einar Johanson to obtain a quote in early April. Representative came to the house a few days later and gave me an estimate of $1350 for three window panes. Windows were 66"x42", 29"x18" and 16"x30". He said the windows would be ready within two to three weeks but because of a backlog may not be able to install until July at the earliest. Was not a problem so I went ahead with the purchase. Requested a $300 deposit which I paid. They called in early June to say they had an early opening for two reasons. One, I am not far from the business and two, the job wouldn't take much more than an hour and a half. Scheduled for June 10th at 9:00. They arrived about 8:00 that day and I was not home but someone else was to let them in to install. House is a rambler so access was easy. When I arrived about 9:15 they were just finishing up. Cleaned the new windows and removed old and any excess material. Polite, professional and efficient. The kind of businesses I like to work with. They have done work for me before and I will use them again."

"They were great both times. They offer lots of choices, and the prices are very competitive. When they install, they are so neat and organized that everything just looks great. Some contractors will trash our house while doing something, and these guys are just fabulous and really easy to work with. The first time, the price was well over $1000. I am very happy with the windows; they look beautiful."

"King County Window and glass was awesome! Not only was their quote the lowest their installers were phenomenal. They were professional, yet friendly. Worked around our busy morning trying to get everyone out of the house. They were very nice to our 16mo and 3 year old kids. Also aside from leaving behind beautiful new windows you can't tell at all any work was done. They cleaned up everything related to their work. These guys were so nice and friendly I would invite them over to our house to watch a Seahawks game."

"Special thanks to Matt for helping us figure out the manufacturer of the original panel and finding a direct replacement. That saved us the cost of a custom panel and simplified the installation process. Great service and A+ communication throughout the process."

"NW Shed is great. Jim who is the owner gave me the options and I chose exactly what I wanted. He suggested what type of shelves I should opt for which saved me some $. The prices are posted on the website so there is no need to haggle. He suggested things I should do in my backyard to make the installation go smoothly. Ricardo, the installer was amazing and went above and beyond his normal duty to perfectly level the shed. The quality of the Shed is great. It is 10x better than what you buy at the big box stores with particle boards. If you want a Real Wooden solid shed installed in your back yard which will last you for years- I would highly recommend NW Shed. <br /> (+) <br /> - Prices shown on the website. You chose the options you want and no haggling <br /> - Quality of the shed and the material is A+ <br /> - Installation was perfect! <br /> - Very reasonable prices for shed and options like Shelves <br /> - Excellent communication <br /> (-) <br /> You do have to put in some work to paint the shed but that's no big deal to save costs <br />"

"We just had our gutters cleaned and washed and John did a fantastic job. He was thorough, professional and cleaned up all the debris when he was done. And our white gutters are actually white again…they look amazing. They are busy (sign of a good company) so I did have to wait several weeks. However a few days before our appt we had a family emergency and had to reschedule Doug, the owner, was awesome and squeezed us in the next week!! If you are looking for a company that is honest, professional and does a great job, I highly recommend ABSOLUTE Windows, Gutters & Pressure Washing company. You will not be disappointed."

FAQs for new windows service projects in Arlington, WA

Yes, bay windows add value to a home. They enhance the property by expanding the interior space and flooding rooms with natural light. Their unique three-panel design creates a stunning focal point that elevates curb appeal and modernizes living areas. This architectural detail increases both functional space and visual appeal, directly contributing to higher home resale value.

Yes, all window types have the potential to become part of a bay window configuration when modified correctly. The transformation involves reconfiguring standard windows into a multi-panel design that features a larger central window flanked by smaller ones. This process requires precise professional planning and custom framing to ensure durability, visual balance, and structural integrity.

Bay windows typically consist of three glass panels extending beyond the home's exterior walls, with a larger center panel flanked by two smaller ones. In contrast, bow windows are composed of four to six equally sized glass panels that create a gentle curve and do not extend as far from the exterior walls.

Bay windows cost more than standard windows because their expansive, multi-panel design requires additional materials and skilled labor. Their construction involves extra glass, specialized frame components that extend outward, and complex operating mechanisms. These technical demands necessitate precise engineering and multiple expert installations, thereby significantly increasing both material and labor expenses.

Bay windows cost three times more than standard double-hung windows because their design requires extra panels, expanded framing, and a more complex installation process. The advanced construction method increases material consumption and demands comprehensive expertise, while specialized window treatments further elevate expenses. This all results in a significant difference in overall project cost.
