"We hired Groundworks to install a sump pump, expecting professional work and peace of mind. Unfortunately, the experience was anything but that. First, the team showed up 2 weeks after the initial visit. Worse than the delay was the complete lack of communication throughout the process ? getting updates or even basic responses was frustratingly difficult. Their installation was poorly executed, and we ended up having to hire another company to fix their mistake ? costing us even more money on top of what we already paid Groundworks. I scheduled a water heater flush and was given a service window for the technician?s arrival. When the window passed with no technician showing up, I contacted the company myself, only to be told that the technician would not arrive for another three hours. I should have been notified proactively, rather than having to call to obtain this information. During the visit, the technician informed me that my water heater needed to be replaced at a cost of $12,000. I then requested a second opinion from Swan Plumbing and confirmed that my water heater did not need to be replaced and if replacement were ever necessary, the cost would be $6,500?nearly half of Tipping Hat. I also was told that the membership could be cancelled but when I tried to cancel they told me I had to pay for the whole year."

My furnace is a high-efficiency condensing furnace, yet they never installed the condensate drain line— a huge mistake — it's not only dangerous, but totally embarrassing to overlook such an important part of the installation! I had Mountain Valley Plumbing & Heating come out for a furnace tune up, and their technician, Scott realized the issue. The motor in my furnace was underwater due to the lack of the drain and my furnace wouldn't turn on. I called Steele Bros Heating to fix the problem, and they placed the blame on me, saying I should have had the furnace inspected and that because I didn't have them out once a year for maintenance, they would also void my warranty.
