"Our experience was WONDERFUL. Tom was very professional, provided us with a quote in-house, and accurately projected the costs and timing for complete window replacement. The quote was SIGNIFICANTLY lower than any other quote we had received (we had 3 other estimates done). The windows themselves are high-quality Alside double-hung vinyl windows including one large picture window in our living room. The installers were professional and very hardworking. They arrived when they said they would and completed the job in even less than the time frame they had projected. They managed the work well and left very little for us to clean after they finished. The windows are beautiful and have already reduced our cooling and heating bills. We would (and have) recommended Tom and Just Windows to anyone who is considering replacing their windows."

"Jake came out to our home and was ever so kind to sit down and talk with us about replacing our windows. He even brought a window with him to show us up front what they are like and how great they are. He explained everything in great detail to us about the company, the installation, and the windows. After his explanation, we wouldn’t choose any other window but from Universals Windows Direct. We are so pleased with our choice going with Universal Windows Direct. Thanks to Jake for his help!"

"We replaced 8 basement windows with glass block (a few with vents) and the process was GREAT! Tyson Williams and Anthony were our two installers and they were prompt, professional, very courteous, and friendly. They got all the work done, with clean up within 4 hours! We LOVE the new windows and SO glad we chose Glass Block Headquarters as our vendor. I would highly recommend them! Great product, amazing team, and outstanding customer service! Thanks team!"

"Rob and his team are honest and reliable and I look forward to having them replace the rest of our windows and doors once the money is saved.  Rob's price for Pella windows was less than the quote from the local Pella retailer.  In fact, I believe we were able to have Rob paint and install the windows for the same price Pella wanted to charge us just for installation.  They carry a variety of price points, and there is no pressure to buy the top of the line.  In fact, Rob has advised us against spending money on certain things where others probably would have taken advantage of us as new homeowners.  With one of the windows and our front door, there was considerable rot and insect damage discovered at the time of installation.  The crew removed and replaced sheathing, window frames, etc., to ensure that everything was "made right" before the new windows and doors were installed.  This extra work did not result in any increase in the final bill.   Many others in our neighborhood have also used this company for siding/window/door & roof replacements."

"Technician arrived on-time and confirmed what needed to be done. Tech protected floor with drop cloths and began to clean windows before installing tinting. Completed work in a very reasonable amount of time and provided details on how to maintain it. A very positive experience with Suntrol. Will have a tech back to tint additional windows in the future. <br />"

"Excellent! I had a new hardwood floor and baseboards and door trim installed and was fearful the painters would get paint on new flooring. Not Universal Painting; they were very care and did and outstanding job. They were professional and on time and were very flexible in working around the woodworking team."

FAQs for new windows service projects in Ashtabula, OH

Yes, bay windows add value to a home. They enhance the property by expanding the interior space and flooding rooms with natural light. Their unique three-panel design creates a stunning focal point that elevates curb appeal and modernizes living areas. This architectural detail increases both functional space and visual appeal, directly contributing to higher home resale value.

Yes, all window types have the potential to become part of a bay window configuration when modified correctly. The transformation involves reconfiguring standard windows into a multi-panel design that features a larger central window flanked by smaller ones. This process requires precise professional planning and custom framing to ensure durability, visual balance, and structural integrity.

Bay windows typically consist of three glass panels extending beyond the home's exterior walls, with a larger center panel flanked by two smaller ones. In contrast, bow windows are composed of four to six equally sized glass panels that create a gentle curve and do not extend as far from the exterior walls.

Bay windows cost more than standard windows because their expansive, multi-panel design requires additional materials and skilled labor. Their construction involves extra glass, specialized frame components that extend outward, and complex operating mechanisms. These technical demands necessitate precise engineering and multiple expert installations, thereby significantly increasing both material and labor expenses.

Bay windows cost three times more than standard double-hung windows because their design requires extra panels, expanded framing, and a more complex installation process. The advanced construction method increases material consumption and demands comprehensive expertise, while specialized window treatments further elevate expenses. This all results in a significant difference in overall project cost.
