"The service was excellent! They arrived to pick up the vehicle a day earlier which was great. They delivered the vehicle right to my daughter's door and found a side street to unload. The service was delivered within the time frame given. All of my questions were answered via phone or email and the paperwork was seamless and the price was very reasonable."

"I first made the appointment before XMAS to fix the faucet in the master bathroom bath tub. It was broken and the water couldn't be turned off. We had to prop the shower rod against it to stop the water flow. We had another leakage in another bathroom tub faucet that needed replacing. I was told it couldn't be fixed it had to be rebuilt and I was told if I bought the part the price would be reduced but if they bought it it would be higher. I took a picture of the hot/cold stem part and went to Lowe's with difficulty bought what I thought was the part. We had company coming for XMAS and on the day of the appointment nobody showed up. We had to call to see what was the hold up. They were backed up due to the weather and couldn't make it. A phone call would have been nice. We were told to call someone in Jacksonville .I didn't want to call a plumber in Jacksonville to do it they weren't on Angie's List you are. I spent $40.00 at Lowe's. We were disappointed. We had used them before and got better service. The work didn't get done, my company came and everyone had to use one bathroom down stairs <br /> After everyone left we waited until the weather was better and called them back to finish the job. I had gotten the wrong part so he had to come back. I admit he made several trips having to turn the water off, take the faucet apart, it didn't fit and put it back together and turning the water back on again. He made another appointment, getting the parts and replaced the whole faucets in both bathrooms. He had me get hot/cold stems but he replaced the whole faucets in both bathroom. I didn't expect that and it was better. I would use them again because they are EXCELLENT. The pricing was a little steep but I needed my bath tub. Lowe's gave me a refund for the hot/cold stems I bought. <br />"

"It would have been considerably cheaper if we wouldn't have gone with a 6 foot fence but our dogs jump quite high. While the project was going fine, I noticed a bolt that had attached a bracket on our house had broken and was sticking out of the brick. The bracket had not attached since it was broken and was hanging off the house. It did not look good. They asked that I send some pictures and I did. Five days later the gentlemen who we had worked with at Lowe's came back out with one of his guys and repaired the bracket. It's not entirely as nice as it would have been when it was first installed if done correctly but it does look great."

"James Lewis is a high quality general contractor with an exceptional knowledge base and excellent capacity for problem solving. James did a large scale, 1200 sqft renovation of our downstairs area as well as replaced 5 exterior doors. We have a unique, custom house that can make projects more difficult. Overall, the project went smoothly and James was always professional and receptive to my concerns. I have been impressed with the overall quality of the work and the speed at which it was done, despite being delayed with snow storms. He was very helpful in designing some of the aspects of our job and all of his ideas have turned out to work very well. He provided a very detailed initial estimate and told us to expect up to 10% overages as the job was large and complicated. Subtracting a few expensive vanity choices we made the overages did amount to a little over 10%. I will definitely have James bid for jobs at our house again and look forward to working with him. I only have two concessions about Lewis and Co. First, he was significantly more expensive than all other bids we got and I honestly believe the job should have been $5000-8000 less. The quality of the experience was worth the extra expense as I do believe that had I hired someone cheaper they would not have produced as good a product with as little owner oversight. Next, we had all 1200 sqft tiled and the quality of the job is significantly less than all other aspects of the project (which are top notch). I?m ok with the finished result, however it was very expensive and for the cost should have been laid a bit better or had the floor leveled prior to laying to prevent unevenness. Despite the concessions, James Lewis is the best and most knowledgeable contractor I?ve ever worked with (and I have worked with a lot). I have no hesitation recommending him for any scale of residential construction. <br />"

"<p>I was not impressed with them. Recently moved to this house obviously a lot of worked needs to be done. I was not sure in what shape was in. I knew that it had not been cleaned professionally in 30 years. I expected more then just a visual inspection. He basically took a flash light and looked up the chimney and said yah its good. I expected a little but more inspection then that. We had scheduled their visit on one day and they called and postponed it a couple of weeks later. I was not crazy about them.</p>"

FAQs for thermostat installation and replacement projects in Austin, AR

Smart thermostats may be worth it for many homeowners. They come with various features, including voice control and smartphone apps. Vacation mode can help lower energy usage when you’re out of town for an extended period. Alert warnings let you know about major spikes or drops in temperature. Smartphone apps can track energy usage, and smart thermostats can learn your routine over time to adjust your temperature and reduce wasted energy consumption automatically.

You typically do not need more than one smart thermostat. While it’s common to see multiple mechanical thermostats throughout a large home, multiple smart thermostats may try to override each other. This can lead to problems with the HVAC system. Ensure the unit you buy has the option for dual- or multi-zoned systems to avoid compatibility issues.

Installing a programmable or smart thermostat may save you $180 per year in utility costs. A big part of this comes from a smart thermostat’s ability to learn and adapt to your regular routines. With smartphone apps or web-based interfaces, you also have the option to control your thermostat when you’re not home.
