"This guy is an AC MASTER. THE LEVEL OF UNDERSTANDING HE HAS TO AN ELECTRICAL LEVEL IS MIND BLOWING. 100% RECOMMENDED. I called him for a second opinion after a scary first diagnosis from a different company (they were suggesting replacing the whole system for 6-7 grand). Luckily, Year Round was there came after them to prove them wrong with a 300$ fix the same day I called!!!"

"Happy they were available the next day and able to get AC unit up and running. Quote went up significantly at end of visit for us. Service time was an hour or less. Quoted $85 service visit and $175 for replacement of dual run capacitor ($25 for part, rest was expertise with install) I agreed and expected around $260 for bill. He asked to use my water hose to cool system and got things going. Next he went inside to test air flow vents and all was working. He then prepped the invoice and added $85 fee for cooling unit. Never discussed or mentioned there was a fee so I was surprised but he said it was the norm. Final bill $370. We needed air so glad it’s done. Also went into the backyard before I arrived then asked if it was ok. Fortunately I didn’t have any pets so it worked out and i was less than 5 minutes out. He ran over at first appt so he had a later arrival but it was in the window quoted. Stressful when our AC went out but thankful that we’re back up and working again. "

FAQs for thermostat installation and replacement projects in Raleigh, NC

Smart thermostats may be worth it for many homeowners. They come with various features, including voice control and smartphone apps. Vacation mode can help lower energy usage when you’re out of town for an extended period. Alert warnings let you know about major spikes or drops in temperature. Smartphone apps can track energy usage, and smart thermostats can learn your routine over time to adjust your temperature and reduce wasted energy consumption automatically.

You typically do not need more than one smart thermostat. While it’s common to see multiple mechanical thermostats throughout a large home, multiple smart thermostats may try to override each other. This can lead to problems with the HVAC system. Ensure the unit you buy has the option for dual- or multi-zoned systems to avoid compatibility issues.

Installing a programmable or smart thermostat may save you $180 per year in utility costs. A big part of this comes from a smart thermostat’s ability to learn and adapt to your regular routines. With smartphone apps or web-based interfaces, you also have the option to control your thermostat when you’re not home.
