"Of the contractor's we had come out to give us a bid on the painting, I was sure The Paint Doctor would be the highest bid. Surprisingly, not! In fact, the experience from beginning to end was top notch. Joe, the estimator, was very friendly and gave us many choices on the kind of Sherwin Williams paint to choose from. After he inspected the house, he went to his car & put the whole proposal together for us. We were concerned about our metal barrel shingles and being sure the painter would know where to step in order not to dent the shingles. Joe assured us that their painters were familiar with this type of shingle and there would be not problem. Martin did everything from the power washing to causing, painting and staining. He did an excellent job and you could tell he took pride in his work. We are happy to recommend The Paint Doctor to anyone and felt the pricing was excellent."

"Bradley is very professional and very knowledgeable and on time. He was also able to get started on our house right away when others said it would be weeks. Our breaker box was very old and the wiring in our house was a mess and it needed replaced and repaired. We only had a couple of electrical outlets inside the house and we had no power to the bathroom. We also wanted him to also install new ceiling lights and we wanted him to add new outlets. Bradley replaced the old fuse box with a new fuse box and he added new outlets and replaced the old ceiling lights with new ones. He also got power restored to the bathroom. When he was done everything worked like brand-new and his rates were by far the best that we could find. It was the first time ever using an electrician that we felt like we didn't get ripped off."

"Skilled and timely service! They came in professionally, painted my daughter’s room beautifully and neatly without leaving any excess paint on her carpet or bedroom furniture. I would trust them to help with future home projects."

"Michael built us a beautiful deck.  He knew we needed the deck built before our wedding (about 30 days) and he made sure it was done.  He showed up every morning (Mon-Sat) at 7:30am and was there most days for about 10-12 hours.  He also cleaned up each evening before leaving.  Our deck is very beautiful and very unique.  Michael worked with us to come up with a really nice design.  We would definitely use him again for other home projects.
Michael also helped us with some plumbing issues while he was there.  He didn't need to do that, but he is such a great guy.  He also is a Christian with great morals.  :-)

"We bought an Angie's List Deal for the project. They called right away to let us know their schedule would push our project out to 3 months from when we bought the deal. We asked if the square footage listed in the coupon would be enough for our house and he assured us that almost all houses they've worked on fit within that limit. When they called 2.5 months later to let us know they could schedule our job, we set up a time for the actual estimate. It came in much, much higher than the deal price. Since it was well past the 30-day return time frame on the deal voucher, we discussed the situation for a day or two and came to an agreement on the final price. Work started right away and took a day longer than originally planned (rainy weather was a big factor!). A little better communication on when the work would start/end each day would have made making arrangements for my dogs a little easier, but overall the work was done well and the house looks great."

"Wonderful. My basement looks beautiful. Dan gave us very good advice and all work was done in the time agreed upon. We were given a very fair bid.Important to us is that Dan is meticulous. He paid attention to detail so all work turned out beautiful. Also the workers that worked with Dan were very nice and respected our home as they would their own homes,I especially appreciated that. We will be using Voltaire again."

"I contacted Mark with GQ renovations to get an estimate on replacing approx 1500sqft of carpet with laminate flooring. He price matched the other estimate and was able to start the job a week sooner. I am thoroughly impressed at the quality of the work completed and attn to detail. Mark and his team at GQ went above and beyond. There where unseen issues with my subfloor from a previous carpenter that Mark addressed, repaired properly and only charged me for the extra material. I highly recommend GQ renovation and handyman services. In fact they are doing two other similar jobs for my in laws rental properties. If you want Good Quality work give GQ the opportunity to earn your business."

FAQs for major home repair (general contractor) projects in Avondale, CO

In many cases, it’s much less expensive to convert a bus than to buy an RV, especially if you’re considering a newer RV model, which can exceed $100,000.

Another huge benefit of school bus conversion is that you are in control of the renovation project. You get to pick your camper's new layout and all the appliances and furniture.

While school buses can easily cost $300,000 when they're new, you can often find used buses for just a few thousand dollars. These vehicles experience extreme depreciation due to government regulations; they can only be used for so long before they must be replaced. Due to those same regulations, other government agencies cannot purchase them for their own uses, so the consumer market is the only place they can go.

The length of time it takes to convert a bus depends on the scope of the project (and size of the bus), how much work is DIY vs. done by a professional contractor, and how much work you’re doing up front.

In general, expect at least a couple of months for a conversion, but larger conversions could take six months to a year. Remember: You can tackle projects as you go: Get the basic work done so that it’s livable, and then continue to enhance your living space over time.
