Customers say: Super punctual

"Have worked with Gabriel and his team now on multiple occasions to complete massive back and front yard projects at our home. We're super pleased with the results and would definitely recommend them without reservation! Always very professional and responsive, and the quality of the work delivered was at a high bar. In the backyard, they completely transformed our landscaping with a full wrap-around fence install, plus new irrigation and sprinkler systems, and full sodding. We had concrete poured next to the house to have a pad for a hot tub, as well as a separate seating area for a fire pit. Both of these were concrete stamped and colored which looks really classy as compared to just "plain" concrete. In the front, they completely demolished out a cactus garden and old shrubs and bushes, building a full wooden pergola and trellises for grape growing, as well as putting in some new trees and planters...it looks infinitely better and nicer now! Have greatly appreciated working with Gabe and his team, and will certainly consider them again going forward."

"MRS repaired and then installed a woodpecker-proof layer over sections of our stucco that we have had repeated woodpecker holes in (7 at the time of their repair). The work was done quickly, looks great and has solved our problem with woodpeckers and other birds nesting in our stucco."

"We are very pleased with the outcome of this project. From the initial phases when Tim Glasco came out the house and assessed our situation and proposed a solution that would be both effective concerning drainage and aesthetically pleasing. It also turned out to be fire protection barrier, in that there are now no combustible plants within 10 feet of the house. Tim and the crews that did the work are all very professional, knowledgeable, and dependable. He suggested several changes as the work progressed which enhanced the project, and worked with us to make some changes which we desired."

"When we were installing the stove, it became clear that J.D. had sold us eight feet of porcelain stovepipe. Since the stove top is 26 inches high, only ca. 5 ½ feet of stove pipe is required for installation in a room with a standard eight foot ceiling. Therefore, J.D. sold us ONE TWO FOOT SECTION OF STOVEPIPE MORE THAN REQUIRED FOR THIS ISNTALLATION - at an additional cost of $174. When we called J.D. to inform him that he had ordered one section of stovepipe more than was needed he curtly asserted “I order whatever the customer said” and “Vermont Castings will not accept returns of porcelain stovepipe.” When we then reminded him that we did not order eight feet of stovepipe, but had indicated that the stove would be installed in a room with a standard eight foot ceiling it was clear that he realized his mistake - but instead of admitting, and accepting responsibility for, his error he again curtly said “Vermont Castings will not accept returns of porcelain stovepipe.” When we pointed out that this was his error and that he should accept responsibility and refund us the $174 we overpaid as a result, his yet again simply asserted “Vermont Castings will not accept returns of porcelain stovepipe.” In the end, on a sale of nearly $4,800 J.D. would not accept responsibility for HIS error and forced the customer (us) to absorb the $174 overcharge that was the result. Although the Pagosa Peak Custom Fireplaces website ([*** Link removed ***] declares: “Customer service is our #1 priority!” we experienced a clearly unethical transaction. Buyer beware of J.D. and Pagosa Peak Custom Fireplaces!"

FAQs for outdoor kitchen building service projects in Bailey, CO

Building your own pizza oven can be a cost-effective option if you already possess the necessary firebricks or materials and have the skills to complete the project. When you have the required supplies on hand, you save on material costs and labor fees. However, if you need to source every component, a pre-made kit may not deliver the same savings.

Fire bricks are engineered to withstand the high temperatures generated inside a pizza oven, protecting the structure from cracking or spalling. Standard bricks can fail under intense heat, potentially damaging the oven and creating safety risks. By using true fire-rated bricks, homeowners maintain consistent cooking temperatures, preserve the oven’s structural integrity, and reduce the likelihood of costly repairs. The modest increase in material cost is offset by longer service life and safer operation.

An optimal pizza oven installation positions the opening exactly between 36 and 48 inches above the ground to guarantee clear visibility and safe, comfortable access. This height optimizes heat distribution and ergonomic use. In addition, dome height can vary: shorter domes produce the signature soft, charred crust of Neapolitan pies, whereas taller domes are ideal for generating the robust baking environment required for New York–style pizzas.
