"G&J Waterproofing did a great job on our basement. The work involved taking up the old floor, installing an interior drain on all exterior walls, sump pump, Polyshield on the walls, membrane and pouring a new cement floor. The work was further complicated when the workers discovered our sewer pipe was not properly connected. This involved bring in a plumber to lay a new sewer pipe. The house was built in 1917, so things were very old downstairs. The whole process took longer since the sewer work took a week. Everything is complete now. The workers are great; this is extremely hot and hard work. Everything was cleaned up and my nitpicky fixes made. Communication behind the homeowner, workers and management needs to be improved upon. There was a lot of work to be done and guidance from the company was appreciated. Katy and Rich were very helpful."

"The employees that arrived to do the work were good workers. They were either unaware of the contracted work or mislead. They were not going to install the J Channel per the service agreement, and they had planned to backfill the ditch with the earth they had removed. The contract called for the ditch to be filled to surface with gravel. The installers called the office and explained that a J Channel was agreed on and someone from the office delivered it to satisfy my request. They were going to install the J Channel in segments vs one solid piece across the length of the ditch. I told them the segment seems would allow the water to get thru the J Channel and weep thru our foundation once more. They did the work as I requested but had I not been there or had I been a customer that did not know any better, this job would not have been done correctly or as agreed upon in the contract."

"Rick responded quickly and provided a quote in late April. He replied to our follow up emails and adjusted the proposal at our request to use smaller blocks for the retaining wall. We had sought three quotes, one was significantly higher than Rick's, and the other never got back to us. When we accepted the bid he told us it would be six weeks due to his other jobs. After five weeks he got back to us to schedule for the following week, but agreed to delay it a week since we were going to be on vacation. He also stopped by to go over the job again and suggested we mark any depressions in the yard that we wanted filled with topsoil (for no additional cost). Rick and his team showed up as scheduled (actually a little earlier than they said to get a head start on the rain). The job was completed in one day. Everything turned out very nice. The final placement of the stone bed for the shed required installing some retaining timbers for which we paid the material cost but no additional labor. The grass seed he placed on the filled in areas came up quickly (we had quite a bit of rain which probably helped)."
