"After interviewing a variety of companies to help us out with our water issue in our crawl space, we decided to schedule the work with Pete Westera's Basement System's USA in North East MD and we are so happy with our decision. From the first phone conversation with Tina Reaves (production manager) who scheduled our free estimate, to the estimate appointment with Tim Schlegel (inspector), to the day the work was completed by Jordan (lead technician) and Nate (assistant technician) the experience was a pleasant one. Tina was informative and easy to talk to. Tim was very down to earth, you felt like you could have him over for coffee. He explained everything in great detail and I didn't feel like I was talking to an obnoxious sales guy. He cared about our issues and fixing them the right way and the cost effective way. It was refreshing to have him break down all the parts/equipment to decided what was worth spending the money on and what we could stand to forego while still solving our problem. He created a blueprint on his laptop in our kitchen and explained every detail. He allowed us a few days to make our decision just as we told him that we need and he wasn't pushy with the follow up, but still kept in touch. His personality, attitude and sales tactics were a huge selling factor in the reason that we selected this company. We also loved the idea that the company and the owner were local to our area and that the own was a preacher. They also have an excellent warranty that covers the life of the structure making it comforting to know that the warranty can transfer through multiple owners without any "fine print" snags. They originally had the next available install date about 30 days from the day we received the estimate. Due to our busy life schedule, a honeymoon, and the upcoming cold weather we were in a time crunch and requested to have it done in 2 weeks. Tim and Tina made some calls and made it happen, again helping us out big time. The week before the install we were out of the country on our Honeymoon and I communicated with Tina asking that she reach out to my Mom in the event of any last minute changes, she made a note on the account and everything went smoothly. The install crew arrived on time and the lead Jordan was excellent at communicating with me from the time that they arrived to the house, to excellent detailed description of what they we actually doing as they performed the work, to the time they took a brief lunch break and the follow up the following day when he had to return to finish the drain outside. They were both very courteous, they worked very hard all day, they were easy to talk to and maintained a very clean work environment both inside and outside of my home as they completed this project. The company also offers a financing option of up to 6 months with 0% interest which was very appealing to help us pay off this project in a timely manner without racking up another high interest home project credit card. From start to finish we couldn't be happier. Now 5 days post install I am happy to report that our system is operating properly and it was well worth the money (a very competitive price I might add) to have the piece of mind to know that we received quality workmanship and to no longer have the fear of further expensive water damage or cringing every time that it rains. "So far so good - we havent' had any water since the work was done.  I was very happy with the salesman (Chris D.) as well as the crew who spent two days working the issue (Joe H. and TJ).  Everyone was so pleasant to work with and they really took the time to explain in detail the process and how it would work.  They did not try to "upsell" me on a large basement system as we really needed to address this issue before we would really know if there was a problem.  Some other companies did try the upsell while ignoring the gaping hole in the ground.
I cannot speak highly enough of my process with BWN, from the first estimate through my many questions through completion of work.  I almost cancelled the first appointment because of my other experriences with basement waterproofers - I just didn't think they were the company to address my issue.  When I called to cancel they said they really would like to come out - and I am so glad they did.
We are having some major melting now and so far no water.  I will be keeping my eye on it - if we do get water BWN will be my first call!

"The team arrived on time to do extensive work on my basement floor and walls and outside underground drainage issues. They worked tirelessly all day to remove old concrete, lay a new pipe system, pour new concrete, install sump pump, and seals. They prepped the walls and sealed and painted with Loxon paint. Radon seals were included in the redone areas. The outside work included installation of a new underground drainage pipe with pop up exit drain. A rubber membrane was installed behind the house siding. We?ve had several days of heavy rain since the waterproofing work was completed and the basement floor and walls have remained dry. "We had a foundation issue that caused the brick façade on the front of our house to separate. It looked terrible. We had the foundation repaired, but the brick was to far damaged to go back into place. The first estimate we received, the mason told me they would have to remove the entire façade of the front of the house and reconstruct it all at a cost of $20,000, which was terrifying. Sal came to the house and told me that person was trying to rip me off and he would only need to repair the portions that were affected and could do so for $3000. The day they came to do the repairs he asked if we'd like them to repair our front stoop which had a corner chipped off. We were thrilled they could do that too and said yes. This upped our cost only a few hundred dollars. Everyone was super professional and friendly and the work was done in less than 2 full days, we didn't have to be there at all when they were working, so it didn't affect our work day. We're so happy with the work, you can't tell there was ever a problem to begin with, they did such a good job. I'd definitely hire them again and have been recommending them to people looking to have brick work done."

"A+ in every area. The owner called me within about 30 minutes. We talked for 10 minutes or so and I answered his questions about the size, location, frequency, etc of the cracks. He told me there was no need to come out that this was standard and there were no structural issues, but that I should do whatever I could to get the heavy rain water away from the foundation. We discussed some remedial actions that I was considering and he supported them. He would not charge me for his service, saying that it was minimal impact on him. If only everyone was this honest and co-operative."
