"When we decided to install solar panels for generating electricity, it was clear that our roof would need to be replaced this year
rather than next.  Realizing that solaris a big investment, we shopped as carefully for a roofer as for a solar contractor.  After analyzing six bids, we selected E.R. Roofing, and we made an excellent decision.   Our job was done professionally and
economically, with close consultation every step of the way.  We?re completely happy with the professionalism of the ER staff and with the final job, which has drawn compliments from neighbors and friends.
Usually, we throw out the highest and lowest estimates, assuming that the lowest will cut corners and the highest packs unnecessary profit.  In this case, we?re glad we re-visited that rule.  ER?s estimate was considerably lower than the competitors, some of whom are on Angie?s List as well, but I liked President Elliott Wireman?s candid and detailed presentation.  ER and 2 of the competing bidders (among the highest we received) are Certified Certainteed installers, using top-quality materials and tested procedures that result in an extended guarantee. 
 So why was ER?s bid roughly 65% of that of their competitors?  I asked Elliott that question, and his response was modest, but instructive:  ?Beats me. We pay the same for materials and labor.?  But I know why.  One company salesman drove up in a brand-new truck that must have cost $70,000.  Elliott arrived in a slightly battered Silverado with a few years on it.  Another sales manager left a booklet identifying managers, overseers, CEOs, CFOs, nearly enough bureaucracy for a small state government department.  That overhead mounts up.  And consumers pay for it.  With ER, the president handles sales, scheduling, materials, and installation.  The long day they installed our roof, Elliott worked with his staff all day except for an hour or so during which he estimated another job.  There was no need for a quality control guy.  The boss was on the roof. With a hammer.
ER also managed the unique features of our installation  cordially and well.  Elliott reached out to our installer, so everyone knew what needed to be done, and when.  The installer requested that the roofers move a vent pipe to allow panels in a high-efficiency location, and ER readily completed this, asking only that I provide the additional materials (pvc pipe and fittings).  We wanted to install a sun tube, and that required cutting a hole in the roof deck and working with the solar installer to stay away from space needed for panels.
At our solar installer?s suggestion, we selected a light colored shingle.  Because Certainteed offers only one energy-star roof, ?Silver Birch,?  we went with that.  Elliott willingly amended to final bill to indicate exactly how much of the project cost covered the shingles, because only those expenses qualify for a tax credit.  
 There was one minor glitch, and ER responded effectively on the go.  A worker forgot that the sun tunnel hole had been cut, then covered with felt, and he fell part way through our ceiling.   Fortunately, he wasn?t hurt and I had some sheetrock scraps.  He set to work and repaired the hole in the ceiling while his fellow workers continued with the roof.
 
We?re completely satisfied with ER?s work and would recommend them without reservation to anyone needing a roof but eager to get full value.

"Vince from V&C was a pleasure to work with from start to finish.  I would highly recommend him to anyone, and I will be recommending him to my parents and friends who need gutter cleaning and repair work done.  He was honest and upfront about everything during our first phone call, and from his other great reviews on Angie's List, I was confident that he would do a great job.  He gave us a rough estimate of the cost of the work we needed over the phone, as he wasn't able to do an on-site estimate (which I totally understood).  With the cost of gas and travel being what it is, I don't blame him!  Not only that, but he is very busy with other gutter jobs, so he took a description of our house and gutters over the phone, and gave me a pretty solid estimate without having to actually come out here first.  Works for me!
My initial call set up a job appointment about 2 weeks out.  I felt that if he is that busy, then he must be pretty good!! (and worth a little wait) He confirmed the appointment a couple of days before, and also called and texted me when he was on his way that morning.  I appreciate the great communication!  
Vince and his assistant completed the work in about 1.5 hours.  They cleaned all the gutters, spray-jetted the downspouts that needed to be flushed, and also cleaned off the siding on the house in the areas that they worked on.  Vince re-attached the front gutter and replaced some old bent gutter nails with new screws and brackets.  He re-pitched angle slope on the rear gutter, and spray cleaned that one as well.  He removed one section of downspout in the rear and removed a pretty bad clog.  While Vince was on the roof, he pointed out some exposed nails and other roof issues for me, which was very nice of him!  With his leaf blower he used to blow out the gutters, he even offered to blow some leaves off of our patio!  After the work was completed, he even wiped down our porch and spray cleaned our sidewalks and front porch to clean up after the job!  Quick, clean, and professional!  
We are having V&C come back in the spring to install an additional downspout in the front and rear of our house, as we only have 1 per side, and the house is a bit wide for just 1.  They'll also be replacing the last remaining old gutter in the front with a new one (with screw-mounted hidden hangers instead of nails). Vince took measurements while he was here, and we are going to schedule the work soon.   I watched all the work happen, and Vince explained everything he was doing as he went along.  They worked quickly and cleaned up like  they were never here!  Vince gave us a fair price on the entire job, and even offered to give us a deal on yearly gutter cleaning if he comes back next year.

My experience with Supreme Window was excellent from the moment I called to get an estimate on replacing a broken window in the basement. I explained to Chris the situation and he was able to send a salesman to our house that night.  At this point, we had also decided to replace 2 very large windows in the bedrooms upstairs.  Albert showed up right on time and discussed the options with us which included very expensive laminate, which does not shatter when broken.  I was immediately interested in this for the bedrooms because there are very large trees behind my house and I am always concerned with them breaking the windows.  Albert took a look and explained that the laminate was not necessary b/c of the large overhang we have protecting the windows.  We really appreciated that he did not push a very expensive product on us.  In the end, we chose laminate for the basement, but that was totally our decision.  We took a chance based on the great reviews on Angies List and did not get other estimates since we were in a hurry to replace the broken window, so we signed a contract that night.  The windows were ready about 3 weeks later.  Chris called to let us know they were in last night, and we were able to have Eric come out today to install them!  The installation went very well and they took their time to make sure they were well caulked and in properly. They cleaned up afterward and also made sure we knew how to open/close/lock and lift off for cleaning.  There was one tear in a screen and they will be back tomorrow to get that screen replaced right away.  We are very pleased with the overall experience with Supreme Window and Door.
