Rather than just presuming the furnace was dead or even the problem, Dave poked around. He discovered the smoke was from the fireplace/chimey and the furnace turning on had pulled air from the chimney, reignited a smoldering log, and then filled the house with smoke. The problem was with the chimney all along, but Dave/Columbia did not charge me anything for the trip to Portland---or for diagnosing the problem---even when I called later to offer. Great service, great customer relations, great knowledge of how air moves through homes."

They were also willing to install it on a solar installation that they didn't do themselves, which other solar providers were unwilling to do. They ordered the product and contacted me as soon as it came in. Scheduling was quick, they had availability to come out a few days later. They weren't able to complete the job in the time estimated due to the pitch of my roof, but Bob (co-owner) was very open and transparent about the issue. They did come out 3 days later to complete the job so no harm, no foul. Premier Solar NW are a great company and I am probably going to look to them for other opportunities (like solar batteries)."
