"My husband and I hired Charles Smith from Smith Restorations & Repair to get some work done (inside and out) over 3 months from Feb - April of 2018. In total, Smith Restorations handled repairs to our tree house, built a new deck, which included some stone patio work, installed floors for our entire first floor, updated our 1/2 bath and remodeled my kitchen. HE DID ALL OF THIS IN TWO MONTHS. And it all looks fantastic! We just moved into our new home in August and spent some time thinking about what we wanted and Charles Smith was the perfect person to put our plan in place. Let me share why we hired Smith Restorations and why we continued to hire them. 1) Smith listens to what you want and gives you what you need, making every attempt to combine the two. I am not a contractor and Charles had much better ideas than I did for how to rearrange the kitchen. We went from thinking we had to move electrical panels and walls to a much simpler design which he believed would achieve the same end. It did. His ideas saved us tons of money. 2) He was the only person who came out and gave a care about our tree house. It was dangerous, needed to be dealt with and two other contractors came and stuck up their noses. 3) We were given options, some of which included sketches. There is more than one way to do things and he knows more than one way. Great good, better, best scenarios. 4) Smith allowed us to use our resources when we had them (I had a good electrician friend) and he did not look to mark-up workers that he brought in to drive up the price. 5) Smith cleans up and hauls away mess. Every day. Enough said. 6) Cost effective. Straightforward in materials and labor costs. 7) Smith Restorations went above and beyond for us and we just kept coming up with projects. Specific to the kitchen, it was small and cramped due to the placement of cabinets and an oversized island that served no function. Charles worked with us to measure the space, re-imagine the area and made some great suggestions as to products to purchase like flooring and tile. I was able to purchase the cabinets myself and maintain control of the design. He checked over everything before I ordered it, allowing me to take advantage of special financing, etc. He demoed the kitchen and installed the cabinets in just a few days. He was so meticulous in getting them aligned correctly and all the appliances moved with the plumbing into the right space. If we were up against a deadline for countertops, he would stay until it was done. The luxury vinyl floors that he recommended and installed have exceeded our expectations. The kitchen is truly transformed into the farmhouse kitchen we wanted and we could not be happier with the partnership we had with Charles to get this all done on time and on budget. "I hired these guys for a 45sf bathroom tile job. The cost seemed fairly reasonable. The completed job is fair. Pros: the job is done and I didnâ t have to try to figure it out myself. Looks ok but not great. Cons: The grout is inconsistent, there are areas where there is no tile, the toilet wasnâ t fully reassembled,. This was supposed to be a less than one day job that turned into two full days. The second day they didnâ t get done until around 8:30pm. They left a mess. Including grout residue on the floor, toilet, cabinets. The tub was left dirty. My husbandâ s car wash bucket was used without permission to mix grout and ruined(the sponge was dumped in the yard and left.). Trash and cigarette butts were left in the yard. Over all I just canâ t recommend this company. While the completed job is ok, itâ s not great and there are way too many issues, including the fact that weâ re going to have to call in a plumber."

"Overall great service for cleaning. I had them for about 18 months and then we moved out of town. If they forgot to clean something, I called and they fixed it,. One time they actually came back out and recleaned the entire house. I did use carpet cleaning service from them once and did not like it. I got better results renting a machine from Lowes and doing the carpets myself. The house cleaning was great though. It seemed like they tried to keep the same crew with my house, so the girls cleaning got used to what I wanted done.

"Some crooks smashed in the back door window and bent the door. I called Mr. Hooks and he came right out that evening to board up the window until he could get a new door. While replacing the door he also cleaned up some water damage and repainted. Very happy with the work and the quick response.
