"Ezra and Charles are very friendly and personable. That is, when they want to take your money. What good is a 12-year warranty if you start ignoring your customers at 2 years. I needed my HVAC replaced. Because the HVAC sits on my roof, I decided to redo the roof too. Ezra and Charles came out and were really friendly so I immediately had a good impression of them. Even though it would’ve been cheaper to go with a roofer and a separate HVAC company, I decided to go with Landmark Construction Crew, aka Landmark Energy Upgrades. I figured it would be a more seamless process for one company to do both. I got this done in December of 2016. The thing with a roof is that you don’t know if it’s a good job or not until it rains so I waited to write a review. Around January 2018 ( a little over a year later ) we got some much needed rain but unfortunately, I had a leak coming from one of my vents. I emailed Ezra and he sent out a roofer. The roofer came, looked at the vent, jumped up on the roof for ten minutes and said he was done. Months later, it rained again, it leaked again, I emailed Ezra again. I decided to take a closer look at the vent and noticed that there was sunlight in the ductwork. I figured sunlight equals gap somewhere. When the roofer came, I told him and he said it’s nothing, probably just a reflection, without even taking a look. Then the roofer tells me that the next time there is a leak, I need to call the HVAC guy because it’s not a roof problem. I couldn’t believe it so I told him that HIS company IS the HVAC guy!! I used one company to do the roof and the HVAC so there is NOBODY else to blame. So, he jumps back on the roof and was done and gone in 10 minutes. About a month goes by and the rain is back and so is my leak. It’s 2019 so it rained a lot this year. Good for California, bad for me. So, I emailed Ezra again. After a few weeks, no reply. So, I email him again with pictures, a few more weeks go by and no reply. So, I call him and he picked up the phone. He sounded surprised to hear from me (probably didn’t recognize my phone number) and I start telling him about the leak. He said he didn’t get my emails but just text him my address and he’ll send somebody. A couple of weeks goes by and nothing. So, I text him again and after weeks and weeks of waiting, no reply. I’ve emailed, called, and texted so, at this point, it’s very obvious he’s avoiding me. If you are looking for a friendly company that is willing to take your hard-earned cash then Landmark is for you. But if you’re looking for a company that is accountable for their work then look elsewhere. I know I am."

"January 19, 2021 Mr. Dwight Esnard President Mesa Garage Doors 4915 E Hunter Ave Anaheim, CA 92807 RE: Proposal 823405 Dear Mr. Esnard: I would like to take this opportunity to share my experiences with your company, Mesa Garage Doors. The following is in chronological order. November 12, 2020 - This was our first appointment with a salesman. I took off work in order to meet his for our estimate. After waiting until after the time estimated for his arrival, I telephoned Mesa and was only then informed that the employee had called in sick. I then scheduled an appointment for the next day and had to take more time off work. Why didn't Mesa call me and inform me of the no show and to reschedule? November 13, 2020 - Met with Sam Chittendon and received an estimate and an install date. Made a change to the order for an additional garage door opener. December 4, 2020 - Our install was scheduled from 12 noon to 4 pm. At 4:20 pm, I called Mesa and asked where our installer was. I was told he wasn't going to make it and we were pushed to December 5, 2020. December 5, 2020 - Installers came and wanted to build down. We did not like the looks of that so the installer took new measurements, contacted Mesa on speaker phone and we were all informed that we would have to order custom doors. We ok'd the order. December 30, 2020 - Contacted Mesa again to schedule the delivery of the new custom ordered doors. We were scheduled for today. January 19, 2021 - The installer showed up, took measurements, removed our door and the told us that we would have to have a build down. I said no we didn't want a build down and we again had a speaker phone call with your office. Only now were we informed that the door cannot be made in a 7'3" size. We told the installer to put our door back on. After some time, I heard a honk from the alley. It was your installer. I said I needed to see if the doors still worked properly. He told me that I had to put the sensors back on and he sped off while I was yelling "WAIT." First, I have spent many, many hours waiting for salesmen, installers and many more hours on hold with that obnoxious guitar music. Second, I am shocked at how inefficient your company is run. No one knows what anyone else is doing. No one knows the product, not even your salesmen. Which brings me to the point of your salesman. Sam Crittendon was great up until the problems began. I have texted him and emailed him over and over again and he has disappeared. Apparently, as we were informed just today, he was supposed to contact us for the ordering of the custom door. That never happened. In conclusion, I have heard you on KFI for years and have purchased two doors from you in the past. I will never do business with your company again and I will recount my experiences with KFI and spread it far and wide on social media. I have never been so frustrated and spent so much wasted time dealing with any business. Please contact me if you need clarification on any of the above. Sincerely, //S// Elizabeth Vozzella"

"**DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS, YOU WILL REGRET** In 25 years of high-end residential design and renovation projects, this is singularly the worst most reprehensible run business by Adam Slutzky, son of ownership. He clearly has no understanding as to the running of this business, how to deal with employees, or how to procure client relations. They just suck! Still awaiting my small upfront payment to be refunded, no response after a week of texting."

"Really happy with how our kitchen turned out thanks to Ocean Seven Builders. Ron was great to work with—friendly, professional, and very knowledgeable. He helped us tweak the design so it actually made better use of the space than what we originally planned. The crew was consistent, showed up daily, and kept things as tidy as possible during construction. The whole process felt organized, and the end result looks clean and high-end. I’d definitely consider using them again for future projects!"

"You should probably add 4-6 weeks to the expected delivery date if you expect to need the "enclosed" hardware. I received the blinds in the estimated time, but it came without the required hardware. I have made 4 calls (at least) over several weeks, but the hardware is nowhere in site. It is clear that SelectBlinds.com is a marketing company only has outsourced all production and fulfillment to third parties and evidently has a difficult time coordinating these type of customer service issue. Extremely frustrating that my blinds have been sitting in the floor for over a month and all I need is a few screws. Happy to go to Home Depot to get the screws, but SelectBlinds can't even tell me what sizes I need."

FAQs for new windows service projects in Barstow, CA

Yes, bay windows add value to a home. They enhance the property by expanding the interior space and flooding rooms with natural light. Their unique three-panel design creates a stunning focal point that elevates curb appeal and modernizes living areas. This architectural detail increases both functional space and visual appeal, directly contributing to higher home resale value.

Yes, all window types have the potential to become part of a bay window configuration when modified correctly. The transformation involves reconfiguring standard windows into a multi-panel design that features a larger central window flanked by smaller ones. This process requires precise professional planning and custom framing to ensure durability, visual balance, and structural integrity.

Bay windows typically consist of three glass panels extending beyond the home's exterior walls, with a larger center panel flanked by two smaller ones. In contrast, bow windows are composed of four to six equally sized glass panels that create a gentle curve and do not extend as far from the exterior walls.

Bay windows cost more than standard windows because their expansive, multi-panel design requires additional materials and skilled labor. Their construction involves extra glass, specialized frame components that extend outward, and complex operating mechanisms. These technical demands necessitate precise engineering and multiple expert installations, thereby significantly increasing both material and labor expenses.

Bay windows cost three times more than standard double-hung windows because their design requires extra panels, expanded framing, and a more complex installation process. The advanced construction method increases material consumption and demands comprehensive expertise, while specialized window treatments further elevate expenses. This all results in a significant difference in overall project cost.
