"Heartwood did a perfect job replacing our kitchen countertops, from the first customer contact through fabrication and installation. We were in the market for Corian countertops because we wanted to avoid the radon issues that granite can bring into a home. We knew that we wanted to use Corian’s Raincloud, which is mainly white, with some gray and tan striation to soften the look. It is a directional pattern, and Heartwood did an excellent job marrying the pieces together so that the pattern looks good. We had our new kitchen sink drop-shipped to them from Amazon, so that they could cut the countertop to fit it, and they obtained all of the measurements needed to fit the sink and the new faucet into the area in front of a large window with a deep windowsill. They included a custom edge, which looks wonderful. There were several areas that required a great deal of planning and skill to get it right, and everything came out perfectly. It was a pleasure to work with such a professional firm. We would definitely use Heartwood again, and I recommend them highly."

"Almost since we moved into our house 5 years ago, we’ve wanted to have two custom pieces of furniture built: a long, built-in shoe bench by the front door and a custom bed to optimize the space in an upstairs bedroom. Jed did both absolutely beautifully. Each piece looks like it was originally part of the house, works exactly like we wanted and more than a year later still looks just as gorgeous and has held up flawlessly. That’s despite being used and abused by a family of 4 including a 2 year old and a 5 year old. The shoe bench did the impossible of both making our entryway look much less crowded and also expanding the amount of storage space we had by at least a factor of 3. We finally have enough space for all of our shoes and had extra space for packages, reusable grocery sacks, and backpacks. The bed took a room that wasn’t really big enough to play in between the dresser, bed and desk and made it into a space that had more storage and also enough space for our 5 year old to really play in and enjoy his room. At each step of the way, Jed was meticulously detail-focused and worked with us to get everything exactly the way we wanted. That included things like using leathered granite on the benchtop so that it was as durable as stone, but wouldn’t show small scratches from keys in pockets, making the bed so it could be rotated 90 degrees, and adding adjustable feet to raise the bed as the carpet under it inevitably sagged. Jed also brought his own aesthetic sense to the projects. The molding he put along the bottom of the shoe bench took it from being a very-nice-looking shoe bench to something that I can’t imagine having been done better that perfectly matches it’s surroundings. The feet on the bed and the inset detail on the side of the bench and drawers on the bed also come from his vision. We could not be happier with the work and they’re the two most impactful improvements we’ve made to the inside of our house since we moved in. We have a few more plans for improvements we’d like to make including an unconventionally shallow closet in an upstairs bedroom that we will definitely have Jed back to do."

"Everything came out perfectly! The initial cabinet install height was calculated off the listed height of my washer/dryer on the manufacturers website, and the cabinets were put in before the washer/dryer arrived. Once they were in place, I realized I needed the cabinets lowered -- John fixed the issue without a problem!"

"The cabinets were delivered on time and we were pleased with the quality. There were a few minor problems, but Cabinet Discounters sent someone out to take care of things. We loved our salesperson, Bekki Skeans, but unfortunately she left the company before our kitchen was finished. Another salesperson took over, and he did fine. My only reservation about this company is that the salesperson/designer does not come out to the site. They do the design based on blueprints and photos. I was not comfortable with this, so I hired another designer, but in the end we purchased out cabinets from Cabinet Discounters because they did have great cabinets for reasonable prices. <br />"

"We highly recommend Dulles Kitchen and Bath. This was our first kitchen renovation and we couldn't be happier. During this process we evaluated three companies and one of the major reasons we went with Dulles, besides our confidence and comfort level with Ali, was because they do it all. From the hardwood floors, cabinets, countertops, lighting, appliance installation and more. This was very valuable to us because we could have one point of contact for everything. Ali was awesome and patient during the design process which we made several changes. He was extremely quick to respond to emails and questions we had. Ali came to our house and offered suggestions on design and next we went to the showroom to pick our cabinets. He even gave us a cabinet door to drive out to their countertop distributor in Sterling to help us make our final color pick as we placed against full size Quartz slabs. If you are thinking of a renovation look no further. The installation crew led by Firuz was great and respected our home and wishes. They stayed in constant communication, completed the job on time and even handled an unexpected sub floor issue. They handled all permits and appointments with county inspectors and had a detailed installation and renovation schedule. Over two months later and both Firuz and Ali have checked in to see how we are enjoying our kitchen. We can't speak highly enough about them and we love our new kitchen!"

"Jaye did an absolutely FANTASTIC job with our powder room! He replaced the vanity, countertop, faucet, switches, flooring, light fixture, medicine cabinet, and exhaust fan. He also installed new wainscoting and trim and repainted the ceiling and walls. We could not have been happier with the result and his careful attention to detail. He began the work exactly when he said he would and completed it ahead of schedule. Better still, he even removed and disposed of all the existing materials! We are already working with him to schedule our next projects and recommend his services!"

"We hired My Closet Guys to put in an entire closet system in our small walk in. Their pricing was much more reasonable than one of the large, national closet brands but the work is just as beautiful! John is easy to reach and does a great job measuring and drawing out the closet in 3D so I could see what everything would look like. It's one of the best improvements we've made in our home and we have hired them again to put in cabinets in our laundry room and install new closets in our three other bedrooms."
