"We have a PVC fence, originally installed by a different company, and it needed minor repair. The work took about a half hour. James came out and gave us an estimate, and returned in a few days to do the repair with an assistant. For both appointments he was on time and respectful of our property. We would definitely use him again."

"The Big Boy Fence guys just put in a beautiful "wood and wire" fence for us in Waynesville. i had found a photo of a fence that we especially liked and they copied it exactly! It is a very substantial and detailed fence with double gates. We had a delay because of scheduling, but the finished project is well worth the wait! The guys are good to work with and polite. We are beyond pleased with our fence and highly recommend Big Boy Fencing."

"they came on thursday morning and by noon 3 hours had over half the fence in place. these guys worked non stop till 7 pm that day clearing the land for the fence line setting posts and installing fence.  the next day, thet brought in a tractor bush hog and cleared the fenced yard area of over an acre plus finshing the fence job.  I saved all metal material for them including the old fencing, on saturday they came to finish weedeating the fenced in yard and stack the logs they had cut and general cleaning of the finished fenced in yard, they had pulled all the old fencing posts and pulled 500ft of old fencing, took all of it plus the metal materials I had saved for them.  My yard was a useable yard after these guys were done. It had been an overgrown mess before and my dogs only had about 300 sq ft of useable yard to run in.  after they were done, the entire yard, which is approx 1 acre, was useable for man or beast.  It was amazing.  I had quotes from other fence companies but none of those included removal of the old fence or clearing the line and these quotes were twice as much and were not going to be done within two months of the date I needed it to be done in.  the yard cleaning was not part of the estimated project and they took all the waste with them for free!!!     I love these guys for helping me make my new home better.  the fence has been installed for over 7 months now and i have had no problems with this fence.  I recommend these guys to anyone who wants a fence.  THEY ARE GOOD GUYS AND A GREAT FENCE COMPANY!!

"I highly recommend Nathan. We are about to get started so I’ll need to come back and comment on quality of work. But so far I’m impressed. Nathan demonstrates solid experience and focus on the quality of fencing. He’s made great suggestions and is transparent on what drives up costs vs where to invest in quality. It’s refreshing to find a contractor we trust and who will do the work on front end to get quality materials. He provides excellent status updates (materials were hard to find during COVID season but he worked to make it happen for us). I will ask him back for many more projects in future."

"A very professional and complete job. Also had this contractor paint the interior of my home. Removed all the old rotted wood re-secured the stringers comma cut and installed new deck board. Absolute perfect job. Cleaned up after the installation with not a single piece of scrap wood left lying around. Highly recommend Daniel. I've already made arrangements for him to paint my entire exterior"

FAQs for barbed wire fence installation projects in Bat-cave, NC

Barbed wire is a type of fencing made from steel wire with sharp edges or points spaced along the strands. It's designed to prevent unauthorized entry or contain livestock by acting as a physical deterrent. Barbed wire fences are often seen in agricultural settings or high-security areas because they're effective, durable, and require little maintenance.

You can expect to pay between $3 and $6 per linear foot for a barbed wire fence, including installation. The exact price depends on factors like material quality, number of strands, wire thickness, and labor costs. If you have a larger project, bulk purchasing and hiring a professional might offer cost savings.

The number of strands you need depends on the fence's purpose and the level of security you want. For a standard livestock fence, you might use three to five strands. For higher-security needs, you may require more strands to meet your needs. Consider your specific requirements and talk to your fence installation pro to determine the appropriate number.

Barbed wire fencing regulations vary by location. In many residential areas, the use of barbed wire is restricted or prohibited due to safety concerns. Before installing a barbed wire fence, work with your barbed wire fence installation pro to check local zoning laws and homeowner association rules to ensure compliance with regulations.

The lifespan of a barbed wire fence depends on the quality of materials and environmental conditions. Fences made with high-quality, galvanized wire and proper coatings can last between 20 and 30 years. Regular maintenance and inspections can extend the fence's longevity by addressing issues like rust or damaged strands promptly.
