"We are in the middle of a global pandemic (Coronavirus), but I discovered one of our windows, which had been concealed by a piece of furniture, was shattered and about to fall out. Relief Windows came out and gave me a VERY reasonable estimate to replace the broken window. I decided to go ahead and have a few others replaced, too, since they were not in great shape, either. Well, they not only gave me a very good price at an awesome discount, they never once tried to "upsell" me or tack on additional fees. Yesterday, their installers came out and I have to say, I am so impressed! Not only are these windows the nicest I have ever owned, but the installation process was smooth and fast! The team that came out was so polite and friendly, but they made a point of keeping a safe distance since we are, in fact, still under the Coronavirus quarantine. They were such hard workers and cleaned up every bit of their mess when they were finished. They even went above and beyond on repairing the trim around the broken window! This is a fantastic company; I highly recommend Relief Windows!"

"Everyone told me that home repair companies would likely be taking only big roofing jobs after Hurricane Zeta hit New Orleans and that I might have to wait a month or longer to replace a single missing shingle that blew off during the Category 2 hurricane. While it definitely doesn’t meet the definition of a “big job,” even a single missing shingle can result in potentially significant (not to mention expensive) water damage inside the home the next time it rains. So, we called our go-to home-repair company, One Man and A Toolbox, the Monday after the hurricane. It isn’t often that I leave friends slack-jawed but that’s just what happened when I informed them that One Man and a Toolbox was sending one of their experienced workers (Henry) out to repair our roof the very next day (Tuesday). Henry not only repaired the roof shingle in question but also fixed another errant shingle he spotted while up on our roof. Total cost: $80. We are so grateful to One Man and a Toolbox for their amazing customer service and professional quality work — especially after a hurricane. This company is a class act. If it sounds like I’m a happy (and loyal) customer, you would be absolutely correct."

"We had a large remodel of our home by Legacy Builders. We replaced a Jacuzzi with a walk in shower; replaced kitchen and master bath counters with granite and installed new sinks and plumbing fixtures; installed new ceramic tile on2 bathroom floors and in kitchen and dinning room; installed new tile back splash in kitchen; installed new appliances in kitchen; had all carpet removed and replaced with wood floors; built new shelves and cloth racks in master closet; installed 2 new windows in master bath, and replaced 12 ceiling and vanity light fixtures. This project lasted about 8 weeks. We cannot say enough good things about Mr. Lewis and his work crew. They were always willing to talk to us and answer our questions and suggest alternative ways of doing things. They always went out of their way to help with small projects that were overlooked in the contract. They always gave, we feel, more than a full day of work every day of the project. Mr. Lewis always said he wanted to leave us happy and satisfied with the end result of the remodel. He exceeded our expectations on all counts and the project came within the actual budget. We would not hesitate to use Legacy Builders again on any future projects. We have already recommended Legacy Builders to several friends that are planning their own projects"

"Work was done quickly and well. However, they found another problem with the windshield. I did not have them do the work because there was a possibility that it was a warranty issue. When the dealer looked at the "crack" it turned out to be excess glue."

"Spencer's Contracting did a "refresh" remodel of our kitchen---refreshing cabinets by re-staining where needed, fresh overcoat, adding tile backsplash, etc. The work done was excellent. We were extremely pleased with their professionalism and the mannerism of their workers. The work was beautiful. We would use Spencer's Contracting again without any hesitation. We would strongly recommend them."

"This is a parallel review that I just submitted under Louis Mechanical of a similar title for the same work. Tim, the LM technician, inspected out heater and conclued that we needed a new heater. LM's estimate was about $1500+. I felt this was high and called Home360 who responsed within a couple of hours. Shane Hebert came to give us an estimate to replace our heater but decided to double check LM's conclusion. Within a few minutes, Shane got the heater working by tightening the thermocouple wire. We were happy to pay $89 to H360. I subsequently cancelled my order with LM and told them what had happened. We still owe LM for Tim's visit but they are currently reviewing the situation. We have used LM before and that's the reason we called them first. But our first call from now on will be to H360, even if the heater goes out again tomorrow."

FAQs for new windows service projects in Baton Rouge, LA

Yes, bay windows add value to a home. They enhance the property by expanding the interior space and flooding rooms with natural light. Their unique three-panel design creates a stunning focal point that elevates curb appeal and modernizes living areas. This architectural detail increases both functional space and visual appeal, directly contributing to higher home resale value.

Yes, all window types have the potential to become part of a bay window configuration when modified correctly. The transformation involves reconfiguring standard windows into a multi-panel design that features a larger central window flanked by smaller ones. This process requires precise professional planning and custom framing to ensure durability, visual balance, and structural integrity.

Bay windows typically consist of three glass panels extending beyond the home's exterior walls, with a larger center panel flanked by two smaller ones. In contrast, bow windows are composed of four to six equally sized glass panels that create a gentle curve and do not extend as far from the exterior walls.

Bay windows cost more than standard windows because their expansive, multi-panel design requires additional materials and skilled labor. Their construction involves extra glass, specialized frame components that extend outward, and complex operating mechanisms. These technical demands necessitate precise engineering and multiple expert installations, thereby significantly increasing both material and labor expenses.

Bay windows cost three times more than standard double-hung windows because their design requires extra panels, expanded framing, and a more complex installation process. The advanced construction method increases material consumption and demands comprehensive expertise, while specialized window treatments further elevate expenses. This all results in a significant difference in overall project cost.
