"they did a great job. A small job but matched the old siding perfectly. Over all very satisfied. They said that while they were at it that they would replace the siding behind my grill as it was slightly bubbled. I'm not sure if they forgot or ran out of time but it was not done. Otherwise it went fine."

"I wish I had used these people earlier. I ordered a part for my dryer and was able through their instructional video to fix it myself. Let me tell you I am "mechanically challenged" in just about every way. LOL I may have cut myself through my own stupidity but I did it. it was easy and I did not have to pay a repair man for a simple fix. Thank you so much!"

"The place we purchased was painted all pink, including trim and windows. Entire home needed to be repainted. We were very pleased with the time frame that Bert could complete the job - he was able to start on the date we needed and complete it in the amount of time we needed. Painting was very well done, with all door knobs removed, and light fixtures removed, etc. As we don't live in town - this is a vacation property...it is difficult to keep an eye on activity that is going on. However, it was easy with Bert...he kept in constant contact with us via email and phone calls if there were any questions. We could not be more pleased. After painted we asked to have tile removed and kitchen cabinets/counters. Bert even did touch up paint after removing cabinets w/out us even having to ask. We would use his services again, no question. Very reliable, honest, and professional."

"I contacted Don at Precision Built Construction on a recommendation and it was the best call I have ever made.  <br /> Don came to my house the next day to look at my roof.  He introduced himself, gave me his business card, and we spoke about the issues I was having with the roof and what my expectations were for the completed project.  Then he did the first thing that impressed me.  He actually climbed up on the roof to look at it.  I had already had 3 other contractors come and give estimates and not one of them had gotten up on the roof to look at it.  After a thorough inspection he informed me that there were 2 layers of shingles on the house, not just one like the other contractors had stated.  I would have had a huge increase in the price of labor if I would have chosen one of the other contractors when they found the second layer of shingles.  That was the first savings he gave me.  The second savings I received from him actually may have cost a couple hundred dollars up front, but will be a huge savings in the long run.  Don built the house next door to mine and was very familiar with the high wind conditions on top of the hill that my house sits on. I had chosen 3 tab shingles because that was what was already there.  He asked if I had considered Dimensional shingles due to the high winds then he not only told me, but showed me using samples why Dimesnional shingles would be better on my house. This led me to change my mind and pay a bit more up front and not have to replace shingles torn off by the wind.    <br /> Two days later, Don hand delivered the quote for the roof and explained exactly how the work would be done.  He used laborers to tear off the old roof, but he alone would put the new shingles on because he wanted to make sure that they were all nailed on correctly.  He told me that he would begin the work on Friday morning if I accepted his offer, which I did.  His price was very competative and I liked his attitude.  I didn't feel that because he was doing buisness with a woman that he ever tried to take advantage of me of over charge for anything.  True to his word he showed up on Friday morning with his crew ready to work.  The roof was removed in sections exactly how Don said it would be and he alone put on the new shingles.  One day it was very cold and rainy and I expected Don to call and tell me he would not be there that day, or just not show up, but to my surprise he worked on the roof all day to get it completed on schedule.  There were a few added obsticles to the roofing job.  First it is an old farm house that has lightning rods on the roof.  One contractor absolutely refused to replace them if they got the job.  Don put all of the rods back exactly where they were originally placed and there have not been any leaking issues.  He also moved a bathroom vent pipe over for me which was not part of the roof job, but I asked if he would fix while he was up there.  <br /> The overall look of the roof is stunning and my yard was spotless when the job was complete.  I only found 1 old roofing nail in the yard after he left.  I paid 50% of the cost the day before the job began and the remainder when it was complete.  There were no surprises or added costs except for about $45 in board replacement that was not visible until the old roof was stripped and then I was only charged for the amount of the board that he used, not the entire board.  <br /> I was so impressed that I recommended him to my boss who needed his roof replaced.  He came into work after his roof was finished and could not say enough good things about his new roof and experience with Don.  <br /> I called Don back in late October to see if he would be available to roof another house I own in Bay City, a two hour commute each way from Gaylord, that required 28 square of shingles on a 10/12 pitch. I purchased all of the materials and had them roof top delivered.  Don unloaded all of the shingles and finished that Job by himself in just 4 days. There were 4 square of shingles left over from the job.  A shady contractor could have returned those shingles and pocketed the $451.  Don called me and asked if I wanted him to return the shingles since they were already in the back of his truck.  I told him that would be great and the sales person called me as soon as Don dropped off the shingles and credited the amount back to my card.  <br /> I now have him working on a roof, bathroom floor and wall repair, door replacement, and porch replacement on another rental I own.  He is the only contractor I will ever use from now on and I highly recommend him to anyone needing work completed.  Don is honest, very professional and takes extreme pride in his work. He has somewhere close to 30 years of building experience and is not a builder who just studied and took a test to get his license.  He is the real deal from begining to end.  Don't let the fact that this is a small business scare you away.  Don will complete your project quicker and more professionally than most big companies with a very competative bid.  He will be there everyday until the job is finished.  He will not start the job then disapprar for 2 weeks before he gets back to your job. <br />"

FAQs for new windows service projects in Bay-shore, MI

Yes, bay windows add value to a home. They enhance the property by expanding the interior space and flooding rooms with natural light. Their unique three-panel design creates a stunning focal point that elevates curb appeal and modernizes living areas. This architectural detail increases both functional space and visual appeal, directly contributing to higher home resale value.

Yes, all window types have the potential to become part of a bay window configuration when modified correctly. The transformation involves reconfiguring standard windows into a multi-panel design that features a larger central window flanked by smaller ones. This process requires precise professional planning and custom framing to ensure durability, visual balance, and structural integrity.

Bay windows typically consist of three glass panels extending beyond the home's exterior walls, with a larger center panel flanked by two smaller ones. In contrast, bow windows are composed of four to six equally sized glass panels that create a gentle curve and do not extend as far from the exterior walls.

Bay windows cost more than standard windows because their expansive, multi-panel design requires additional materials and skilled labor. Their construction involves extra glass, specialized frame components that extend outward, and complex operating mechanisms. These technical demands necessitate precise engineering and multiple expert installations, thereby significantly increasing both material and labor expenses.

Bay windows cost three times more than standard double-hung windows because their design requires extra panels, expanded framing, and a more complex installation process. The advanced construction method increases material consumption and demands comprehensive expertise, while specialized window treatments further elevate expenses. This all results in a significant difference in overall project cost.
