"it went amazing. Even though it was not a very large job, Ed came out three times to discuss project and my reservations. He was punctual, very informative and very congenial. I hired him and although we had some delays caused by wet weather, he finished the job earlier this month. His crew was outstanding in every way. Ed came by every day to make sure everything was going perfectly and it was. Everything was cleaned up meticulously and the crew even did a few extra things esthetically to make up for the slight delay caused by weather. The result was beyond my expectations and I have received so many compliments on it, from even my most critical family members. ABOVE AND BEYOND!!! Thank you Ed and company. It was good. I liked the assessment process. he came out took pictures, looked at perimeter of the house and foundation.  He then contacted me back with an estimate. It took a whole for him to be able to pin point an appointment with me.  I did think it was a little pricey.

"Two years ago we were looking to put in a patio in our backyard surrounding our pool.  It only had a 3-4' concrete surround, so not much sitting room at all.  We got bids from a half dozen contractors.  Half did pavers, half did stamped concrete.  Jeff was one of these original bids we got.  We ended up holding off that year, but last fall we were ready to move forward.  We kept Jeff's information, and ended up using him for the job.  We choose him over the other companies, for several reasons.  He was very easy to work with, and never rushed our decision or design choices.  He gave us input on the design, but also listed to what we wanted.  He took the time to drive us out to see sample jobs and different colors so that we would be happy with our final choice.  His pricing was very fair compared to the other bids we received.  The companies that came out with the cheaper quotes did not seem as professional, and I would not be comfortable with them to do this size of a job.  His pricing is very comparable to stamped concrete quotes, so going with real pavers was a no brainer.
Our job entailed ripping up a lot of existing poured concrete, removing several tons of stone and then putting down the 2000 sqft patio and walk ways.  We had a walk way put in leading from backyard to our driveway, and then from main patio to our walk out basement.  The crew cleaned up everyday, was right on schedule, and price came in as quoted.  No surprises at all.  This was a big job, and we are extremely satisifed with the work that was done.  We had a small draining issue and Jeff came out recently to fix it, and did not charge for the work.
I have since referred a couple friends to Jeff and they are equally satisfied with the work that was done.  We plan to use Jeff again as we look to do a couple more additions to our backyard over time.

"We bought a house in an area with a high water table and discovered flooding and moldy basement walls only days after moving in. Having to rip out a finished basement to waterproof and then refinish was a pain, but worked exactly as advertised. After mold remediation, installing a french drain, battery backed sump pumps, discharge pipes, and structural reinforcements, we finally had a comfortable, dry, and fully usable basement. No musty smell, dry concrete slab and foundation walls. I would hire A-1 again for waterproofing any time."

"The water issue was in a small unfinished corner of the basement after a very heavy rain and only once since we moved in without mold issues- but I decided to get French drains and mold treatment done anyways for the entire basement. Bob gave me a good estimate and then tried matching the lowest estimate I had gotten (his was the second lowest but I decided to go with him). The installation work went smoothly (planning to get the basement refinished soon from one of his contractors who was there for the job so he knows where everything goes back) . Bob Steck was very responsive, funny and thorough. Their team was very professional. Did the work just as promised - no issues with dust and dirt during and after the job). They started and finished on time ( took 2-days). The concrete is almost completely dry and have had one heavy rain so far- we are Very impressed by their work. Highly recommended."

Bricks were laid and odd pieces cut on site to fill the gaps. Truly a family business - husband, wife, son, and sometimes daughter! Paid extra for stop-sign brick pattern."
