"It went great! The customer service was incredible. I was away in another state at the time and they remained very communicative with me throughout the process. They sent me pictures by phone and emailed my my warranty. They provided high quality work. They even followed up with me after to ensure I was satisfied. I would highly recommend them to others and I plan to use them again."

"The first time we called was for a problem with our spa (attached to pool) and heater. They figured out the issue quickly and repaired it and were very reasonable. We then used them to close the pool. We will be using them for all our pool needs from now on. I would definitely recommend them."

"He seemed to do a thorough inspection, but because I am not well versed in construction jargon (both in terms of architectural features of the house as well as aspects related to maintenance/materials), it was hard for me to understand a lot of what he was talking about. My husband was able to stay focused longer but it's hard when you don't know what he's talking about and you're supposed to be taking notes on it and he's talking fast. I also wasn't sure why I was taking notes since he was talking into a tape recorder. He seemed annoyed with us for not keeping up so I just left and let my husband finish up with him. The lead inspector that came with him was very clear and explained things well. The house is 100 years old, so we had ordered most of the tests he offered. However, his report didn't indicate what tests we had ordered that were pending. Since we had talked about the tests over the phone, and I hadn't taken notes on the specific tests being done, I didn't realize the timeframe for when some of the tests would be returned (and since things were busy at the time, I lost track of what we had ordered). Thus, by the time we got some of the results back (ie, mold), we were already done with our negotiations with the sellers, which made the tests rather irrelevant. The thing I disliked most, though, was the total absence of photos from the inspection report. It makes it much harder to understand what his notes in the report are referring to, especially as there seem to be some errors (ie, notations regarding which bathroom is being referred to). I ended up having a second inspection done by someone else after we were already stuck with the house, so that we could use it to get repairs done."

"I responded to an Angie's List ad for furnace maintenance.  The Serviceman's name that I dealt with was Ryan of Friendly Electric Heating and Air.  We have a gas fired hot air system.  Ryan was a pleasure to deal with.  He was very courteous, professional, and highly skilled.  He explained what was involved in the service, and answered all our questions.  This service was done prior to our turning on the furnace for the heating season.  The service revealed that our ducts needed cleaning.  We scheduled a date and had that done.  The process of duct cleaning involves every room in the house that there are heat registers and cold air returns.  Ryan was a pleasure to work with, always polite, and always careful with our stuff.
By the time all required service was complete, my wife and I felt confident that our system will function as intended.  I was impressed with how the company communicated with me.  I was informed just when Ryan would arrive.  Communication is important to me, and these days somehow has become a lost art.  The office staff at Friendly Electric kept me informed as to Ryan's arrival time.  My wife and I really appreciate this.  I would recommend this company to friends and family.

"We needed a kitchen sink and faucet, a bathroom sink and faucet, and one toilet replaced. In addition, a leaky faucet in our tub/shower required repair. We had a second toilet replaced at a later date. The sinks and toilets were fairly routine and Mastropiero handled them smoothly and efficiently. They were also very helpful in providing specs before doing the job for what we should buy that would fit and be quality. Other plumbers had told us that in order to fix the leaky tub faucet they would have to break through the wall behind the tub. Mastropiero however was able to do it without having to break wall or tile. The job they did is excellent and likely saved us some amount of money and headaches in subsequent repairs. All the jobs are working well and are very attractive. The three technicians who did the work were professional, friendly and polite, and willing to answer all questions. With all the work that houses require over the years, it is nice to be able to rely on a plumber. We will absolutely use them again."

FAQs for swimming pool or accessories repair or service projects in Bayville, NJ

A well-maintained, correctly sized pump lasts eight to 12 years. Help it reach the upper end of that range by cleaning the strainer basket, monitoring for unusual sounds, and verifying that the pump’s flow rate matches the filter's specifications. Address leaks or pressure dips quickly—minor fixes now cost far less than a premature replacement later.

Listen for grinding or screeching, watch for breaker trips, and keep an eye on sudden spikes in your electric bill—any one of these signals the pump needs attention. If repairs continue to accumulate or the unit is older than eight years, replacement often makes more financial sense. Contact a qualified pool repair professional immediately to diagnose the issue and prevent further damage to the filter or plumbing.

It’s best to keep your pool pump on while swimming. Keeping the pump on while you swim allows the filter and skimmers to catch debris in real-time, maintaining water features flowing. It’s not mandatory, but weaving swim time into your regular eight-to-12-hour schedule helps maintain crystal-clear water and consistent chemical levels without extra effort.

Start by shutting off the power at the breaker and verifying with a voltage meter. Close the water valves, bleed pressure, and unbolt the old pump. Wire the new unit according to the manufacturer's diagram, glue in the PVC unions, prime the housing, and tighten everything securely. Open the valves, flip the breaker, and watch for steady water flow and quiet operation. If any step feels beyond your expertise, consider hiring a licensed electrician or pool technician.
