"Chris, his son, and the rest of his team was very professional. I'll start by saying that we had called AJ Perri for an emergency, who charged us a reasonable $95 to snake the sewage drain from the clean out outside to the street. Then they recommended a camera of our line due to resistance at about 80 feet. The camera showed corrosion and puddling at the end of our lawn just before the sidewalk. They quoted us $15,000 to do a liner instead of full replacement!!! My brother worked for our uncle's plumbing business for 10 years down in TX. My brother swore up and down AJ Perri was charging outrageously and convinced us to get other quotes. Roto Rooter came in at $13,000, again my brother told me to get quotes from smaller local companies, as he and my uncle would have a charged around $5,000 and given a warranty. We reached out to three smaller companies, including Chris and his son, and they were all in the same ballpark at just a littmore more than 1/3 of what AJ Perri quoted us, including full replacement of the cast iron sewage pipe and replacement of the water line. Since the other quotes were in the same general ball park (within $1,000 or so), we went off the quality and quantity of reviews and Chris and his son had great reviews on HomeAdvisor and other places on the web. Working with them was easy. They kept us apprised of the process. The permit took a little longer to get than expected due to a mistake about what township we're in (it happens more often than we would like). Other than that, there were no issues, and aside from having to spend a lot of money on something that isn't seen, it's obviously necessary, and we're pleased with the work (the problem started with the plumbing on our lower level backing up). We highly recommend Chris and his company."

"On the first day, the technician told us that he felt snaking the clogged kitchen pipe might either tear the soldered joints on the inside of the pipe loose and cause further damage or he might have simply bored a hole into the copper pipe and then suggested the whole length of pipe be replaced. He went out to his truck and came back saying that another technician would be at the house at or about nine the following morning. I called Gold Medal at about 10:30 and was told the team was hung up on an earlier job and I would receive a call when they were on their way. At about noon the call came saying they would be here within the hour, and they did arrive about 1 p.m. Once here, the team was very efficient and knowledgeable, diagnosed the situation and began the replacement procedure. By approximately 5:30 p.m. the pipe was fixed and they were on their way. I will add that they cleaned up after themselves and did everything they could to accommodate us. Cost was more than we had anticipated, but at least, of the other plumbers called. they were the only one to have called us back."

"The line was in the rafters of a high ceiling of the cellar. It led to an outside gas line (for a gas grill hookup) that was capped off at the house. I wanted to replace the valve rather than cap it off. This was a two man job of a plumber, Rob and his assistant. Rob had to get into the window well and work above his head in a very cramped space. This was complicated by having a large porcelain washtub directly under neath it, blocking access. Rob was extremely careful when climbing to get to the valve. They put down a plastic sheet to protect my washer and the sink, and used their ladder to get over to the wall and window well. Rob cut out the valve and put in a new one that is easy to open and close. He had his assistant check the position of the outside outlet as he worked until he adjusted it so the outside outlet was not turned askew. Btw It was raining and his assistant noticed mud on his boots, and asked for a paper towel when we got in the house...he used it to wipe up his footprints from the mud from his shoes as he walked... Rob checked for leaks and found none. They took any of the debris with them, and left everywhere they were spotless. Also, their last job was running longer than anticipated, and they called to let me know even though at least 30 minutes before. It was only about 15 minutes. Well mannered and professional...Could not have been better!
