"Peter did an excellent job. He took time to explain options to me and provided suggestions on how best to execute my ideas. He always arrived when he said he would and was very considerate in trying to keep the rest of my house clear of construction. I was out of town for half of the time and Peter would send progress pictures each day and provide his plans of work for each following day, which I greatly appreciated. The end result was beautiful and exactly what I wanted. If you hire Peter, you won't be disappointed!"

"Had given a deposit for the window and it was to be installed within 6 weeks. On the 6th week I called and they said yes the window was in , when did I want it. The installer came the next week. Though he did a good job of installing my window I had bought new plastic brick molding which he cut backwards and had to rig in , I had also bought new plastic window sill 6' long enough for 2 windows. when he left he took all my materials and lost my check . I know they have many installers working for them , in my case ,with one window , I think they sent a good old boy and not a professional . The window does it's job , has ? a lifetime warranty and probably no one but me and a builder would notice the Brick Molding is on the wrong sides of the window . As far as my extra materials I just chalked that up to price."

"I ended up not buying the house, because the owner of the house was covering up some possible structural damage on the house. The company, Pro Renovation was actually went inside the closets to inspect, they were really good, they were awesome because they were able to discover the damages on the closets , with pictures. they are very honest, because they could have just made the dollars up & left me in a mess, they actually looked out for me, to my best interest. I highly recommend this company."

"This is a hard review to get right, because overall we're happy with the end result, and our window treatments look very nice. The product we chose (Norman honeycomb shades) are of very high quality. Savannah Blinds were pleasant to work with, and showed up when promised. The installation was done on time and appears to be of high quality too. We never tested any competitive quotes, so can't say whether we overpaid or not, but the price was what I expected for a job consisting of shades for 6 rooms and a number of large windows (including arched windows). The problem is, I think they are a little inexperienced; this left us with a problem we had not anticipated during the planning phase - but I would have expected their planner to spot right away! The shades are manually operated - both opened and closed by hand - and our ceilings are quite high. In the room with the tallest window (say 12') the installation was done with a cord/pulley system, without prompting by us. But the rooms where the window out of reach but somewhat lower (say 9') are now very awkward to use. Which means the taller installation can only be reached by standing on a chair. This sucks. In my view, it's not that you make a mistake that matters, but how you respond when a mistake is made. I felt we got the brush off when we complained ("Yeah, well these widows were not taller than our maximum height, so you don't get the pulley by default."), and of course there's no way to modify the blinds. It's so dumb, because it very obvious that unless you're 6'6" you'll never be able to raise/close the blind all the way to the top, and this really matter with black out shades. Whilst we have been offered a solution, a 'pole attachment' that can reach the handles and make this easier, we've not received them yet. So I don't know how good that'll be. And I still would expect the planner to have made a suggestion when measuring (we never thought of it ourselves). In summary: nice company, good product, but make sure you think about the details because they didn't for us."

"Excellent. Hanging the hammock on the porch of a beach house took some ingenuity to hang properly. It turned out to work perfectly and looks good. The replacing of rotten wood and re-screening look good as new. Stephen (the Tybee Handyman) is a pleasure to work with, totally dependable, professional and does good work. He also is very reasonable in his charges."

"RPI said they used their own crews but they had sub contracted a crew to install my roof (All Roofing companies do this). After the old roof was removed and it was dried in, they came back the next day and were installing shingles in the rain on a wet roof. I had to ask them to stop and come back the next day when it was not raining. The GAF Cobra2 Ridge vents were installed incorrectly, Only one side of the ridge was cutout on all the ridges. I had to ask them to do them over. One of the ridges was overcut + 3 inches on each side where the vent was not even supported properly. That was the main roof. I had to get another manager involved, convince them it was not installed correctly, then took over a month to get them back with a crew and the proper materials to correct the problem. They used top quality materials and the end result turned out great after the ridge vent issue was corrected so I'm giving a B rating."

"Premier Exteriors was hired to remove the vinyl siding from my 50 year old home and replace it with hardie. After removing the vinyl they found the original wood siding behind the vinyl. They restored my original siding instead of replacing it and it looks beautiful. They also removed the tin underpinning and replaced it with hog fencing and replaced my front porch."

FAQs for new windows service projects in Beaufort, SC

Yes, bay windows add value to a home. They enhance the property by expanding the interior space and flooding rooms with natural light. Their unique three-panel design creates a stunning focal point that elevates curb appeal and modernizes living areas. This architectural detail increases both functional space and visual appeal, directly contributing to higher home resale value.

Yes, all window types have the potential to become part of a bay window configuration when modified correctly. The transformation involves reconfiguring standard windows into a multi-panel design that features a larger central window flanked by smaller ones. This process requires precise professional planning and custom framing to ensure durability, visual balance, and structural integrity.

Bay windows typically consist of three glass panels extending beyond the home's exterior walls, with a larger center panel flanked by two smaller ones. In contrast, bow windows are composed of four to six equally sized glass panels that create a gentle curve and do not extend as far from the exterior walls.

Bay windows cost more than standard windows because their expansive, multi-panel design requires additional materials and skilled labor. Their construction involves extra glass, specialized frame components that extend outward, and complex operating mechanisms. These technical demands necessitate precise engineering and multiple expert installations, thereby significantly increasing both material and labor expenses.

Bay windows cost three times more than standard double-hung windows because their design requires extra panels, expanded framing, and a more complex installation process. The advanced construction method increases material consumption and demands comprehensive expertise, while specialized window treatments further elevate expenses. This all results in a significant difference in overall project cost.
