"The team at Shiloh is knowledgeable with years of experience. IInitial consultation demonstrated their personnelâ s experience and knowledge. Initial problem was diagnosed correctly. Technician obviously had years of experience and was engaged in the repair and addressed future concerns. He explained, and demonstrated what was going on with the well system. He did a great job replacing parts and flushing the pressure tank. Communication and coordination could not have been better. I wish every customer oriented service company was as competent as Shilo Water Systems. I plan to have them upgrade components in the well house and kitchen drinking water systems."

"Absolutely Awesome!!! I had some surging problems with my well water. I went through Angi and Jason called me just a bit later. He requested pics. I sent them and he said he could come the next day to replace the 28 yr old tank and IF the pressure switch was an issue he would replace that. He came early afternoon the next day and he and his partner replaced the 85 gallon tank, the pressure switch, gauge and control panel. Excellent service and excellent price of $1750.00. So happy!! Thank you!!!"

"The technician arrived on time (actually, a little early). He ran water from the basement sink to confirm the floor drain was in fact still backing up. He then snaked out the drain, explaining what he was doing, and what he found. He made some suggestions of how to reduce lint and other debris that can contribute to drain clogs. I appreciate the fact that Grumpy's quotes a flat rate over the phone to clean a drain - they don't have to come out, for a fee, to give you an estimate - and that because Grumpy's is just a drain service, they don't try to up-sell you on plumbing repairs."

"Our CPVC house piping had a lot of water hammer. After turning on the washing machine, I walked out for a moment, and then when I came back in water was dripping from the ceiling exhaust fan onto the washing machine. We have a two story house and they ran the hot water plumbing from the water heater in the garage through the laundry room ceiling. I removed the exhaust fan and could see water dripping from a tee way back beyond reach. The water hammer from the washer likely caused the fitting to start leaking. I turned the house water supply off and sent a message to Simpson plumbing through Angie's list. A lady from Simpson plumbing contacted me right away the next morning. She was courteous, but was having a hard time understanding what the problem was. Maybe I was giving too much information or something, but when the plumbers arrived later that afternoon they didn't understand what was going on. I ran through what happened again and showed them the wet spot on the ceiling. They had to cut an opening in the ceiling and we turned the water on and confirmed the leak. We moved my washing machine out of their way and they cut out the CPVC tee and replaced it with PEX. The piping was brittle so it took him a couple of attempts to get a straight cut which is why I called them to mess with it. After installing the PEX tee, we were leak free and at my request they provided a reference for the drywall repair. He also advised getting some water hammer arrestors installed on the supply lines to the washing machine to stop the water hammer, which I have since done."

"I called for an estimate for above mentioned services based on good reviews on Angie's list.  A person came out and took detailed notes on everything I wanted. He sat out in his truck after that visit and I thought he was completing his estimate, thinking I would receive it very soon. Wrong.  A week later, after I heard nothing, I called and finally got the estimate.  The person doing the estimate made a big deal about the electrician being able to get in at 7:30 am. I told him it was hard for us to leave the house that early, but we did accommodate him.  At 7:30, no one had arrived, so I stayed home until the electrician finally arrived at 8. He said he had been at a coffee shop because the scheduler told him not to arrive before 8 am. I had literally spoken to him the night before and he insisted the start time was to be 7:30.  That was the first miscommunication.  The estimator also made a big deal about getting the correct color switches and plates to match what was already in the house.  When the electrician came, he had the wrong products; wrong color, and cheap dimmer switches I wouldn't want in my house. I went to Home Depot to get the correct ones, which the electrician installed. If I hadn't done that, the work would not have been completed in as timely a manner.
The person doing the work was wonderful. The person doing the estimating was very nice, but the communication was frought with problems. If I were to rate only on the electrician doing the work, it would be all A's.
When they were all done, they left the old meter outside the house uncovered. I called them and they promptly came to correct, in time for the electrical inspection which passed without incident.

"Went well to this point of replacing parts. Then the United needed to have a system leak test and then needed freon put in pump. This was refused by Choice warranty. We were left with a partial repair and a heat pump not able to do it's job."

"After inspecting our foundation earlier, Q determined that we needed a sump pump (which we suspected). His quote was reasonable compared to others we had heard about, so we went ahead with it.
His team of three guys worked hard for two days digging drainage trenches and installing the pump in a couple of feet of standing water. We then had to wait about a week for the water to pump out and to dry out so a new vapor barrier and gravel could be added. This was done during a cold winter where it took longer for the area to thaw and dry out so the delay was kind of a bummer, but not at all Ethereal's fault.
When they returned, they were able to finish up in one day (so three days of work total) and cleaned up after themselves very well. The guys were pleasant and happy to answer questions during the work and Q was careful to follow up and check on the work. All in all a great group to work with as long as you're realistic about the work necessary and time involved."

FAQs for well pump repair or service projects in Beavercreek, OR

A standard well inspection begins with a visual inspection of the pump, casing, storage tank, and wiring, followed by flow rate tests and laboratory-based water sampling. The goal is to confirm that every part meets safety standards and to identify any necessary repairs before they become expensive. An inspector will also test your water quality for substances such as volatile organic compounds and any local containment concerns.

Book a licensed, insured well specialist for your inspection. Many well‑pump contractors also hold inspection credentials. They’ll bring the right tools to assess the pump, wiring, and water quality, and provide you with a clear report on any necessary fixes. Before you hire, confirm their license, insurance, and recent customer reviews.

Plan on a full well inspection every year. You’ll also want one any time the cap comes off, after septic repairs, or if flooding occurs. Annual tests look for total and fecal coliform; every two years, the lab should screen for metals and nitrates, and every five years for VOCs and pesticides. If you’re buying a home with a private well, it’s essential to schedule a pre-purchase inspection.

With routine care, most wells supply clean water for up to 40 years. Lifespan depends on the type and how well you protect it. To help it reach the maximum lifespan, keep hazardous products far from the casing, ensure the cap stays sealed, schedule yearly inspections, and address problems as soon as they appear. Good habits keep the system healthy and the water safe.

The average cost of well repairs ranges from $100 to $2,800. Your final bill depends on which part—pump, pressure tank, casing, or piping—needs attention and the level of complexity involved in the repair. A thorough inspection identifies the problem, allowing you to budget accurately and avoid paying for unnecessary parts or services.
