"I could not be happier with the renovation on my new house. The kitchen and bath were totally renovated, a brand new laundry room was created, new flooring throughout, new staircase, some walls were removed, and other walls were added. Bill Hanik and Joe Novella were wonderful to work with. The renovation was expensive, but there were no nasty surprises as I have experienced with other contractors. I have already begun talking to them about the second floor and exterior renovations."

"Bob was very punctual and his communication before and during the job was very good.  <br /> I should have set a completion date so that I was sure of the days they would be there all day .vs part of the day or not at all. A couple of the days I was told they would be there but they weren't able to accomplish that extending the project into the next week. <br /> Overall they did a good job. There were several detail things/short cuts that were missed and discovered when the painter arrived. Not the end of the world but I would have done it a bit differently next time.  They were good about doing as we asked as the project progressed. If you are very detail oriented I would get EVERYTHING in writing before the job. Not just the basics. <br /> They did an great job of keeping the mess to a minimum during the work and and always cleaned up after every day of work. I felt comfortable about them in the house during the work and would recommend them with a word of caution realtive to the details  <br /> and specifics. <br /> Everything looks good, now that we are complete. <br />"

"Paul, the sales rep., was very nice and easy going. Came to our meeting prepared and didn't hesitate to explain all of our options to us. Once we agreed on the windows, he was able to print up our paperwork right there! He did have to return once to have us sign some more paperwork and we appreciated that he was willing to make the long drive to our house. He did say that he would be present for the installation, but he was not. <br /> The install went very smoothly. The installer and his wife were extremely friendly, efficient, and respectful of my home. They did not leave a mess behind! <br /> The only reason I gave a "B" grade instead of an "A" is that I feel that the windows were overpriced. They are very nice, but not $3000 nice...I wish we would have shopped around a little more and saw what other products/prices were out there... <br />"

"Jake Johnson provided excellent service. He is professional, communicates very well through email and phone calls, is responsive to unforseen issues, is very fair and reasonable with costs, and most importantly provides a top rated quality of work. I HIGHLY recomend him and will use his services for future services. D. Coletti"

"I would 100% recommend Finishers to my friends and family. Answered on first call and was able to come put to give me an estimate within only a few days which was extremely important due to time constraints for the loan and closing. Was very thorough and explained everything to me in a way I could understand. Estimates were extremely affordable and went above and beyond to find the cheapest route for me while making sure repairs are done correctly."

FAQs for major home repair (general contractor) projects in Bedford, PA

In many cases, it’s much less expensive to convert a bus than to buy an RV, especially if you’re considering a newer RV model, which can exceed $100,000.

Another huge benefit of school bus conversion is that you are in control of the renovation project. You get to pick your camper's new layout and all the appliances and furniture.

While school buses can easily cost $300,000 when they're new, you can often find used buses for just a few thousand dollars. These vehicles experience extreme depreciation due to government regulations; they can only be used for so long before they must be replaced. Due to those same regulations, other government agencies cannot purchase them for their own uses, so the consumer market is the only place they can go.

The length of time it takes to convert a bus depends on the scope of the project (and size of the bus), how much work is DIY vs. done by a professional contractor, and how much work you’re doing up front.

In general, expect at least a couple of months for a conversion, but larger conversions could take six months to a year. Remember: You can tackle projects as you go: Get the basic work done so that it’s livable, and then continue to enhance your living space over time.
