We have been reluctant to write this review.  If we were independently wealthy, we would have JL Home Improvement on personal retainer and you'd never have the opportunity to hire the company that may well be the best kept secret in Lynchburg. Alas, our lottery number has not come up, so let us tell you about these folks.

We are dedicated DIY'ers. We had bad experiences with two different contactors early on, and were reluctant to try again. But drywall? Well, that's a skill we don't have. So we talked to JLHI about putting up drywall in an upstairs bedroom. After talking to them, we decided to have them put up the trim. Just to see. So we did. The resulting work was excellent. They understood our devotion to our 100+ year old house, and we could not be happier with the work done.

They are now working in our main living area, which poses multiple and complex challenges. The work - from everyone involved - is nothing less than exceptional. "The technician did an excellent job. It did take a while to get the repair finished, but that was due to Bertazzoni delivering the parts. I have had multiple problems with this particular appliance. My range now works better than it did when new, but I have a feeling that even if I have continuing problems with it, American Home Shield will just repair rather than replace due to the cost of the range. By the way, I'm not exactly sure of the date of the repair."
