"Kelemer Brothers did an excellent job replacing my windows. They were professional, punctual, and responsive to questions. Joe, the owner, was very knowledgeable about the window product and installation. The crew cleaned up as they worked and after all work was completed."

"James came out and gave us an estimate and made recommendations on which design to choose. We had 7 huge windows that needed replacing. We had him do a door before and he did such a great job on it and we got many compliments. He clearly told us the timeline for installation. When the windows came in we had to delay his work because floor installation we had on one room was taking longer than expected. He said no problem and we rescheduled install date. He came out and installed windows and did a great job. Windows look fantastic and everything was cleaned up after the job was complete. We did ask for him to replace window sills as well after noticing the condition. He had no issues changing at last minute. Highly Recommend."

"First let me say that I love the windows and that overall this was a positive experience. <br /> Their price was pretty much the same as Baltimore Glass Block.  I chose them because a local window company told me that they used MD Glass Block to fabricate any glass block orders they got.  That spoke volumes to me and put MD Glass Block's fabrication process/method above the competition. <br /> The communication, estimate, scheduling were all wonderful.  The installers arrived just after the late end of the estimated window (e.g.: 10 - 2 and they arrived around 2:30 I think - I didn't write it down and don't recall the exact time) <br /> My only disappointments with the whole process and product were the caulking and the clean-up.    The caulking is messy (installation not fabrication).  There are finger dents and some peaks and uneven spread.  I pointed this out to the installer.  He said that he was renowned for being a great caulker.  I said that maybe he was having an off day :).  He said that they had just switched to a new kind of caulk - maybe that was it.  He told me that after it dried I could sand it.  They had been there for a long time and I could tell that he was just ready to get out of here. Sorry - I just paid almost $1,000 - I really didn't want to have to do anything! <br /> I found a few nails on the floor inside and outside on the driveway that didn't make me too happy. <br /> When they parked the truck on the street, I went out and told them that the windows were going in the back and that they were welcome to pull in the driveway.  They said they'd stay on the street since the truck was leaking oil.  I was glad they told me but not too glad to see a rather sizable oil stain on the road when they pulled away. <br /> I checked "no" on using them again because there was no "maybe" option.  I still believe that they did a great job on the window fabrication and believe in their method so I MIGHT use them again if I had some warm fuzzy that the installation would be cleaner. <br />"

"I wasn't notified when the windows came in, i had to call and inquire. Once the windows were in, there were A LOT of reschedules mostly due to weather. However, the day of installation went very smoothly and the windows are very nice. I felt an immediate difference in the draftiness of my old house. I need other windows replaced so I will probably use them again, just not in the winter."

"Rick came out to provide me with an estimate and provide me with options...when it came time for the installation...At the last minute, one of the helpers called out sick, but they sent out their head installer to perform the work by himself.  The one man show took just a little longer, but Bob was SUPERB!  I couldn't have asked for anyone better.  Bob worked efficiently, methodically and neatly...a real pleasure!  I am quite satified with all of my dealings with this company. <br />"

"They came out to measure and scheduled another appointment to actually install window once glass was cut. On appointment to install window, it was discovered the glass was cut to to the wrong size. Scheduled another appointment to install window after glass was cut to size again. Entire process was a bit lengthy (about a month total?) due to the initial measurements being off. However, very professional and the replaced window looks great. I'm very satisfied!"

"We were surprised that they could repair them because others told us that they had to be replaced. They came to our house, explained what caused the problem, described in great detail how they would repair the windows and then they did exactly what they said they would do in a timely manner. They are craftsmen who take pride in their work and know exactly what needs to be done and how to do it. It just doesn't get any better than that!"

"It was excellent. They were on time and prompt. They were very reasonable and did great work. There was a small problem with the strike plate and they replaced and fixed that. They checked everything to make sure it was all correct."

FAQs for new windows service projects in Bel Air, MD

Yes, bay windows add value to a home. They enhance the property by expanding the interior space and flooding rooms with natural light. Their unique three-panel design creates a stunning focal point that elevates curb appeal and modernizes living areas. This architectural detail increases both functional space and visual appeal, directly contributing to higher home resale value.

Yes, all window types have the potential to become part of a bay window configuration when modified correctly. The transformation involves reconfiguring standard windows into a multi-panel design that features a larger central window flanked by smaller ones. This process requires precise professional planning and custom framing to ensure durability, visual balance, and structural integrity.

Bay windows typically consist of three glass panels extending beyond the home's exterior walls, with a larger center panel flanked by two smaller ones. In contrast, bow windows are composed of four to six equally sized glass panels that create a gentle curve and do not extend as far from the exterior walls.

Bay windows cost more than standard windows because their expansive, multi-panel design requires additional materials and skilled labor. Their construction involves extra glass, specialized frame components that extend outward, and complex operating mechanisms. These technical demands necessitate precise engineering and multiple expert installations, thereby significantly increasing both material and labor expenses.

Bay windows cost three times more than standard double-hung windows because their design requires extra panels, expanded framing, and a more complex installation process. The advanced construction method increases material consumption and demands comprehensive expertise, while specialized window treatments further elevate expenses. This all results in a significant difference in overall project cost.
