"Excellent! They explained why I could not get grass to grow well in my backyard: once they excavated, the soil contained lots of compact clay and rock, causing seeds to drown from watering. Once we locked in a date, they knocked it out relatively quickly, and gave me instructions on how to maintain the artificial grass going forward. The cost was very reasonable in comparison to the quotes I received from other contractors, and they did not charge me for leftover artificial grass, which they could have done. They are very professional, friendly, and did top-quality work. Our old deck was originally built by an "economy" contractor (what we could afford at the time), and the foundation was "shoddy", to say the least. We are so pleased with the new deck. "Had SD Express (Honeycomb Construction) paint our garage and WOW - it made a huge difference. Overall very happy with the outcome and service provided by Eugeniu and his brother and would hire again (have already recommended him to family members). I sent Eugeniu an email and he replied promptly and came by for an in person visit to provide an estimate (I was only interested in prime / paint at first) but Eugeniu recommended that we mud / sand the walls first to give the garage a smoother finish. The estimate process was easy and when we agreed upon a date / time for service, Eugeniu was professional and arrived on time each day. Eugeniu and his brother covered the paint site with appropriate protective cover so the paint would not stain the floor or a few of our personal items that we left in the garage. They applied mud the first day, sand and prime the second day and painted the ceiling and walls the 3rd day (white ceiling and grey walls). The paint job made a huge difference - what was previously unfinished we now look forward to organizing and making it a useable space"

"They almost finished but I made the mistake of paying when they were almost done. They didn't show up to remove the last of the plywood forms for the retaining wall. I called at least 4 times and requested that Nelson, the owner of the Co. to send someone to complete the job. He told me 4 times ok and gave me a day when they would come to do that. All 4 times no one showed up. And no one called to say they wouldn't be there. I feel that Nelson was playing with me but do not understand why? I paid in full. $12,000 + tax. Also, he requested I make the check out to his name. I don't know if that is legal to do or not. But I did it."

"One of our rentals had a broken kitchen granite countertop. I called Todd and he was very helpful and told me that they could possibly fix the crack (instead of replacing the entire countertop). Due to other circumstances (not caused by this company), we decided to replace the countertop. Todd worked with our budget and installed pre-fab granite countertops and did a great job! In addition to that, he was very informative and gave us tips/advice on caring for other stone countertops that we had in our personal residence."

"Sione and his crew worked incredibly fast to pull of this project in under 2 days. I appreciate how responsive and prompt Sione was at every stage of the project. They did a nice job completing the work by removing the existing concrete that was incorrectly installed and replacing it with properly layered gravel, rebar, and concrete. We still have some drainage issues but Sione cautioned us about the issue that will cost more to repair. I'm fine with this because the real drainage problems were addressed (front porch puddle and pooling against house). I appreciated how Sione demonstrated how his crew would address the garage drainage problem throughout the day. Everything looks nice though there are a few patches where the aggregate finish isn't fully showing. Sione explained this is expected and will come with time. If you plan to use Sione (and perhaps most concrete contractors), make sure you clearly articulate what you want and ask about progress throughout the day. There were a couple issues that I learned about later in the day that I wish were explained earlier, but admittedly it wouldn't have changed the scope of work. I do recommend Jay Construction and would likely use them again in the future.

"Decided on a price that included prep, materials, and the pouring of the concrete. the day before the pour the guy came by to prep the areas and he showed up with what looked to be 2 of his sons that were under 14 years old. But what ****** me off was him telling me that it would cost extra to get rid of extra debris from him leveling the areas, an extra ($200). I told him no way and to figure somewhere else to dump it. He ended up dumping it behind my property line. The next day, I thought fresh start let see how they do, Overall the work was decent but in some spots a little sloppy. But what took the cake was, when the concrete truck came he needed cash to pay the driver. So I paid him the whole bill in cash. I had the exact amount to pay him for the whole job, being that I was just at the back and got the exact amount. He took the money didn't count it, then after the work was completed and all was said and done he knocks on my door and tells me that I shorted him 200$. I told him no way that was possible. I believe he either paid the concrete guy to much or was unhappy the day before I wasn't willing to pay for a dump run that he should have quoted me. I handed him some spare cash I had and he left. I Learned when paying cash. Have the guy count the money in front of you to make sure you don't get screwed."
