"I needed a window replaced quickly. I got a quote from someone else for more that $800. Stirling glass came in and quoted $450 and did the work within a week. They did a fantastic job. I would recommend them to anyone who needs any glass-work done!"

"We had a total of five aging (~19 years) / failed double-pane assemblies replaced in our house. The price was far less than replacing the entire windows, as well as far less intrusive. Prompt response to request for a quote. Very quick turnaround once an order was place. I am very pleased with these folks."

"Gu-Gutters is an excellent choice for replacing, repairing, or cleaning your gutters. My project was replacing both the roof and then new gutters as the old gutters were physically attached to the old roof. Gu-Gutters responded quickly and provided a fair estimate. The company was then very patient as I reviewed several other estimates and after selecting theirs they kept me informed of every step of the process. The seamless gutters were planned and set to conform to my roofing specifications then were created on site and installed with precision. One of the most important parts of any project is the follow up; Gu-Gutters checked back on installation and performance and (most importantly) cheerfully returned to perform the minor tweaks required for the project to move from the “well done” column into the “exceptional job” column. I highly recommend Gu-Gutters; fair price, no hidden costs, excellent installation, and exceptional follow through. Gu-Gutters receives my “Most honorable company” citation."

"I had moss in spots on a seven-year old roof. Margarets sent a guy out to scope out the job. I had to hire a roofer to add more roof anchors because of the steepness of my roof (for $500 not included in the amount below). Margarets applied moss killer, and came back three weeks later and cleaned the roof and the gutters."

"I am super impressed with the quality of work and professionalism from start to finish. Everything was explained in full detail, and all of our options were explained. They were able to match our new roof to our old roof perfectly- and even when the appraiser came to our house he specifically commented on the quality of workmanship on our roof and how impressed he was, and pointed out he different features that polar bear added to our roof that made it such an exceptional job. Oh, we also had them install skylights, and actually doubled our skylight order less than 24 hours before they were set to install, and this was no problem for them at all. Everyone we had contact with from the office to the workers were nothing short of professional and polite, and I certainly have recommended their services to everyone I know who is needing a new roof / skylights or windows."

"It went great. We received the glass and took it to another shop to have it etched with a custom design before they installed it. They were very good about making sure everything was exactly as ordered before we picked it up. They were on time and very professional from taking the measurements to the final installation. We would use them again in a minute. We actually did. One of our cars needed a new windshield and we had them install it. Once again, prompt service and an excellent install."

FAQs for new windows service projects in Bellingham, WA

Yes, bay windows add value to a home. They enhance the property by expanding the interior space and flooding rooms with natural light. Their unique three-panel design creates a stunning focal point that elevates curb appeal and modernizes living areas. This architectural detail increases both functional space and visual appeal, directly contributing to higher home resale value.

Yes, all window types have the potential to become part of a bay window configuration when modified correctly. The transformation involves reconfiguring standard windows into a multi-panel design that features a larger central window flanked by smaller ones. This process requires precise professional planning and custom framing to ensure durability, visual balance, and structural integrity.

Bay windows typically consist of three glass panels extending beyond the home's exterior walls, with a larger center panel flanked by two smaller ones. In contrast, bow windows are composed of four to six equally sized glass panels that create a gentle curve and do not extend as far from the exterior walls.

Bay windows cost more than standard windows because their expansive, multi-panel design requires additional materials and skilled labor. Their construction involves extra glass, specialized frame components that extend outward, and complex operating mechanisms. These technical demands necessitate precise engineering and multiple expert installations, thereby significantly increasing both material and labor expenses.

Bay windows cost three times more than standard double-hung windows because their design requires extra panels, expanded framing, and a more complex installation process. The advanced construction method increases material consumption and demands comprehensive expertise, while specialized window treatments further elevate expenses. This all results in a significant difference in overall project cost.
