He had them rip it out and start over. And then, only when they had the new frame's measurements, did they order the new window. So it took some time. But the window is now perfect. <br /> <br /> The railings were even more complicated because the slope of the steps was too steep for the factory configuration of the railing parts. The House-to-Home folks had to cut into the brick in a couple of places to make it all work. Also, on two different occasions, parts were damaged when they arrived. But Daniel won't install something that's not right, so he sent the parts back. Those setbacks meant a series of delays. BUT when House-to-Home finished the work, it was perfectly done. We didn't have to call them back to tweak anything right away. And we have no complaints at all one year later?so the work is durable. <br /> <br /> We know that we'll have to have other fixes done to our home. Things break, especially in an older building.
