"Within a day or two of our inquiry, owner/manager Kyle Hodges was here to evaluate our problem and give an estimate for the work he discussed with us. Although we live in a townhouse, the record-breaking Maryland rainfall and the slant of the front lawn toward our foundation had caused serious water build up at our foundation and threat to overflow into the basement.. For several weeks we had been bailing rainwater round the clock from the trench that had formed at the front of our home and using dozens of paper towel rolls to absorb water. Kyle saw the seriousness of the problem, brought his co-worker Matt who would do the work to help plan their project and scheduled a date. Matt was excellent and very thorough. So far the work they did has solved the problem successfully, and we look forward to their return in the spring for more corrective landscaping. "Mr. Ireland showed up on time to get the information for his estimate. He was very professional and we discussed several options. I received the estimate in a timely manner. While making my decision, Mr. Ireland answered many phone calls and emails regarding the proposed work and provided me with a reference so I could see his work first hand. The landscapers showed up timely and worked all day on my yard. They did an excellent job of cleaning up the area when finished. Mr. Ireland stopped by to check on the progress."

"trucks & crew arrived promptly as promised @ 7 AM - the owner surveyed the entire job one more time prior to starting - there was a concern regarding the possibility of rain so time was of the essence - the owner and crew approached the trees from my neighbors residence behind my house - they cleaned his yard thoroughly and set up their equipment and picked up any debris that was already present which might present safety issues for the crew - the owner then scaled up the first tree and began cutting & trimming lowering branches etc to the crew below who disposed of them efficiently and cleanly - the large silver maple took a considerable amount of time but was done well  (I would have preferred more be cut but it was explained that due to the age, size etc of the tree that was all Freestate could safely remove.) they then proceeded to the next tree a Bradford pear and proceeded to trim &  clear multiple branches finishing just as the rain started. again, i would have preferred ,more be cut but it was explained that this would not be beneficial for the tree. the access routes the crew took were cleaner than when they started, all debris removed without residue. i was impressed with the efficiency and the concern for safety for all concerned. the owner went out of his way to speak with both my neighbor and myself relative to all he intended to do. i would and have recommended him to my neighbors. i would add that i have an in-ground pool and there was not any additional debris on the cover as a result of the work that Freestate performed. i have contacted this company for another job."

"Daniel's Lawn Care has always done a great job with my landscaping. The shrubs and mulch always look great. I had two additional projects this year. One was an edging for the flower beds and the other was a patio. The edging of the flower beds is quite nice and made the beds look terrific. I know the project was tedious but the team always took their time and asked me my preferences along the way. The patio was a special project and I am thrilled with the final outcome. It is beautiful and professional looking. The owner, Brian, and his team were confident, knowledgeable, and caring from start to finish. They answered every question and explained things in detail as the project went on. During one phase of the project something happened beyond their control and they were quick to provide a solution and move forward. I also liked the materials and the methods used to make the patio. Joe didn't just throw down the polymer fill material and use a floor broom to fill in the between the bloc. He put the material down slowly, one bag at a time, and filled in the joints by hand with a hand broom. This made for a very professional and clean look to the last phase of the project. Joe and his team were meticulous and did not rush. Family visited a few days after the edging and patio were complete and were quite impressed by the look and quality of the work.
