"Residential Heat Pump failure. Previously serviced by another company, Told would need to replace system. Called Phil for estimate, explained chronological history of failure. He listened, looked, checked and tested and identified the point of failure, Replaced that part from his truck and the system is running again as it should. Phil explained clearly as he worked, very informative, professional and personable. I highly recommend Philco Mechanical Services and will call on them for my seasonal inspection and service."

"The main water line from the meter to our house was leaking.  Joey came promptly to access the situation.  He explained what needed to be done, provided us with a written estimate, and helped us talk with our insurance company.  We could not of asked for better service.  As for the workers that ran the new pipe, they were prompt, courteous, and extremely hard workers.  I would strongly recommend J.R. Snider and will use them for all future plumbing needs."

"I had my heat pump inspected by another company and they told me that I would be better off replacing it. I called Advantage, partly to to get a second opinion and partly because they are the local Trane dealer. In the end their price was significantly lower than the other two companies that I had compared and I ended up getting an Amana unit with a seven year warranty from them."

"The plumber showed up right on time and got to work right away. He worked on both flushing the water heater and installing the valve at the same time, so as to not waste time standing around. The water valve was in a tight spot but he was able to find a workable solution and he was done in a few hours. He was very professional and answered all my questions. I would use them again. <br /> The only issue was that it took about 2 months to receive the bill. I actually called them about a month after the service to see when I should expect it and they said they were several weeks behind. Not a big deal, just a little strange. <br />"

"Great job!  Our gas insert refused to light via remote for the past year despite service by another provider.  Tech called about 30 minutes before arrival to let us know he was on the way (he arrived well within the one hour service window provided) and he went right to work.  He was able to find the cause of the problem and fix it in this one visit.  Completely satisfied with service! <br />"

FAQs for gas piping projects in Bentonville, VA

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
