"I paid for a one hundred dollar roof repair. I know this is cheap but they came out and quoted $1100.00 for some tar around the chimney and tuckpointing . Or $2600.00 for flashing. It seems a bit high. I just bought a new 16x7 garage door with a motor, tracks, and three openers installed for $1000.00. Materials--tar and cement compared to a steel door, motor, tracks and openers. So it would be 1000.00 for labor. Maybe a few hours. I know grinding cement is not easy but we are talking about $200.00 per hour. A little high."

"Arrow has previously done work for us - tuckpointing our entire home, rebuilding our brick front steps, concrete repair and full house caulking.   Last repair was in March.

I emailed their estimator (my longtime contact) today about getting some caulk/patching repair work done, and she said they were booked solid until the end of October - today is August 19th.

Either she's giving me a line, or they truly don't do small jobs anymore and don't care about their previous loyal customers.

"Our chimney flashing failed in January causing a leak into the upstairs of the home we closed on 58 days earlier.  JZ was quick to respond to give an estimate.  The price was fair and the repair warranty is better than any other company we contacted.  So far we've had more snow and quite a bit of rain and no more leaking.  (Fingers crossed and knock on wood since we haven't been so lucky in this newly purchased house.)  :)
I do feel that communication could have been somewhat better as to timing of the actual repair.  We were told that the repair had to wait until the weather was better (obviously, you can't repair a roof in subzero temps), but no one actually explained that it has to be above a certain temperature to do the work.  We had to call a few times for updates to find that out.
They called the day before the job and arrived within ten minutes of when they said they would the next day.  The work was done in a few hours.  The crew did leave the house without letting us know they were done.  Again we had to call to follow up to find out if any additional work was needed and what was found once they were able to get on the roof and complete the repair.  
Overall, we would hire them again - I just hope we don't need to!
