"Kelemer Brothers did an excellent job replacing my windows. They were professional, punctual, and responsive to questions. Joe, the owner, was very knowledgeable about the window product and installation. The crew cleaned up as they worked and after all work was completed."

"We’re so happy with The Window Man! They are an outstanding team of top-level, experienced professionals! It’s great working with Jake, our dedicated start-to-finish project representative. He has amazingly extensive knowledge in window replacements. He gave us options for high-quality, up-to-date structural materials, while still maintaining the esthetics of our home. He’s honest, intelligent, and totally focused on sound solutions for us to choose from. When we visited their beautiful showroom a few days later, Jake was with us, and we were able to see for ourselves exactly what he had explained. We have a lot of windows to restore and we received a full estimate within a day! A few days later, Ryan came to take precise measurements. He already had most of our details memorized and went to work quietly and efficiently, answering any questions and giving us a realistic timeline for installation. We very highly recommend The Window Man team! I will update once our windows are installed."

"Najim came out and gave an estimate. He said he would have to special order the glass and it might take a week or two (which was OK with me). A few weeks later the glass was in - he installed the replacement glass in the windows that were cracked (3 windows). He rebalanced all the windows and made sure all would open and close. (10 windows). Some of those windows needed the sash cords replaced."

"The front door and 2 windows replaced complete our whole house window and door replacement. Additionally, we have used The Hodges Co. to replace 8 sliding glass doors, add a storm/screen door and 7 plate glass windows in addition to the work completed today. We are thrilled with the quality of the work and the material. Brett was meticulous in the installation work and we are totally delighted! I wholeheartedly recommend this company to anyone needing windows and doors."

"Miguel installed ceramic tile backsplash in my kitchen, a recessed medicine chest in the bathroom wall, added a wooden frame to a wall mounted mirror and replaced a broken door frame. He and his worker were professional, neat, fast and efficient. The job cost didn't change and he finished on time. All of the workmanship was excellent and he went above and beyond to make sure that I was happy."

"After seeing the glowing reviews for Dr. Glass on Angie's List, I decided to give this company a try.  I called and left a message on May 12th.  I received a set of questions via email the next day, and once I sent back my answers to those questions, I got an estimate on the job.  I took the first opening, May 29th, and the crew showed up at my house during the scheduled arrival time. Three folks came to work on my windows--two men and a woman.  One of the men worked outside, and the other man and the woman worked inside.  They all worked very hard and very diligently.  They were careful of my furniture and floors inside and my plants outside.  They were not loud nor did they have a radio playing while I was trying to work.  They finished the job in about three and a half hours, and it is amazing!  Seriously, it's like we don't even have glass in our windows!  I've never seen them so clean.  The workers also cleaned all of the woodwork surrounding the panes and the area between the storm and regular windows. <br /> If I could, I would love to have them come back every year.  However, the work was really expensive.  Granted, my job was not easy.  In addition to storm windows and screens, we have multi-pane windows, and there are large windows in three bays in our house, so it's a LOT of work.  Nevertheless, we ended up paying $684, which is the estimate I was given via email.  The actual charge was a little bit higher, but the company decided to stick to the estimated fee, and they did that without me even asking for it! <br /> Save your money for a couple of years and hire these folks.  It won't be the cheapest service you pay for, but they will do a fantastic job.  I'm hoping to have them back in a couple of years when my windows need cleaning again. <br />"

FAQs for new windows service projects in Bethesda, MD

Yes, bay windows add value to a home. They enhance the property by expanding the interior space and flooding rooms with natural light. Their unique three-panel design creates a stunning focal point that elevates curb appeal and modernizes living areas. This architectural detail increases both functional space and visual appeal, directly contributing to higher home resale value.

Yes, all window types have the potential to become part of a bay window configuration when modified correctly. The transformation involves reconfiguring standard windows into a multi-panel design that features a larger central window flanked by smaller ones. This process requires precise professional planning and custom framing to ensure durability, visual balance, and structural integrity.

Bay windows typically consist of three glass panels extending beyond the home's exterior walls, with a larger center panel flanked by two smaller ones. In contrast, bow windows are composed of four to six equally sized glass panels that create a gentle curve and do not extend as far from the exterior walls.

Bay windows cost more than standard windows because their expansive, multi-panel design requires additional materials and skilled labor. Their construction involves extra glass, specialized frame components that extend outward, and complex operating mechanisms. These technical demands necessitate precise engineering and multiple expert installations, thereby significantly increasing both material and labor expenses.

Bay windows cost three times more than standard double-hung windows because their design requires extra panels, expanded framing, and a more complex installation process. The advanced construction method increases material consumption and demands comprehensive expertise, while specialized window treatments further elevate expenses. This all results in a significant difference in overall project cost.
