"We have used InstaPlumbing a few times now. Our home is old, and the previous owners liked to fix things themselves, but they didn't know what they were doing, so InstaPlumbing has done everything from basic leaks to replacing fixtures and mixed matched, improperly pitched PVC and corroded meta pipes. They have always been straight forward about the work and cost. Customer service is excellent, from the office to the plumbers. They are very accommodating with scheduling. When we have had plumbing problems, like a major leak the night before Thanksgiving, they were ready to help. I highly recommend InstaPlumbing."

"I was contacted by Total Mechanical Systems, LLC only moments after putting in a request on homeadvisor. I explained to Bob that we where remodeling our kitchen and wanted to have a pot filler installed asap as sheet rock was being installed in the morning and the pipe needed to be in place so they could sheet rock around it. He and Joey arrived at 7:30am and promptly installed the water line and pipe from the basement to 1st floor finishing the job as contractor arrived to start sheet rock. An important plus for me all staff that I spoke with and meet where professional and polite..... only wish I had a better memory so I could give them a mention. A+++"

"Ron has proven himself to be invaluable to us as we rehabbed a distressed property. He has been to our place several times and has always been professional, prompt, and communicated very well. The quality of his work is excellent. We had several known burst pipes, some mysterious leaks and missing appliances. Ron explained how he would approach the jobs, the order in which he would do the work and provide an estimated time and cost to complete. As new liquid liabilities arose he informed us about the problem, his proposed solution and what that meant for time and budget. Ron is personable, friendly and communicates well. And his electronic invoicing greatly simplifies payment. He's done work for my mother and I have recommended him to others as well. He's my first and only call for any of our plumbing issues."

"Came on time and was neat and professional. This is the second occasion that I have had to use Geary's Plumbing.  I felt that the price was a little high for the repair of the toilet leak but with my senior discount, the price appeared to be fair.   The job was done to my satisfaction and I would use their service again. <br />"

FAQs for gas piping projects in Bethlehem, CT

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
