"Epic! This guy rocks! I have a 1950s house that has old old wiring. Adam came in with such a gung-ho I got this attitude it was contagious. We literally rewired all the junk wires and had my house feeling happy in just a few hours. I can't say or tell you how impressed I am with Adam. This guy is amazing. Oh mind you I had 2 other electricians attempt to get stuff up and running and the first just made things worse while the second dispensing wasted half a day only to throw in the towel. Adam came in and just rocked it. If you are within his area of service you are crazy to call anyone else!

"They did a wonderful job repairing and refinishing our staircase. It had scratches everywhere and the wood looked dirty because we had not anything to it for many years. Now, we have decided to create a budget and do some remodeling in the house. We called this company for an estimate and they came on the same day. They took a look and we talked about what it had to be done to make it look sparkling again. They seemed very professional and experienced. Once we received the price, we decided to hire therm. This is a project that requires a high level of skills and craftsmanship and they delivered that and more. The employees are very experienced as well and dedicate themselves to work. Anything related to details and specifications we treated with the owner, who was also very nice and accessible. He actually suggested great ideas for the handrails and baseboards. The stair is great and we are so thrilled with their work that we have decided to install wood floors in the house in a few weeks."

"Brandon Bing and Steve Lorenz are owner-operators and I found both of them to be skilled in their trade, honest and hardworking The installation of the water heater and solar panels went well and any bumps were smoothed out. I am initially disappointed in the Solar array's electric impact but I have a few trees that I need to take out and I still need to get my FPL net metering installed. At times I am producing more than what I consume so until I get net metering installed I cannot capitalize on overproduction. These comments are in no way a reflection on All American Solar for their work ethic or products. In fact, the array is expandable so that I can add more panels in the future. The Solar hot water heater is fantastic and has saved me about $60 per month off my electric bill. I would gladly recommend All American Solar for your solar panels or a solar hot water project and I would hire them again."

"From the outset Dustin was very attentive to what we wanted in our new bathroom. He sent Tom out to perform the demo and he was really great to work with. He sealed all of the doorways and took all of the debris out the door towards the pool. There was never an issue of dust or construction debris in the other parts of our home. Tom also performed all of the plumbing relocating and new drywall installation. The tile guys came in and were fast and also did a great job. Tom set the new plumbing fixtures and the last people were the glass enclosure people and everything fit perfectly. Dustin came to the jobsite every day and made sure that if we had any questions that he answered them and addressed any concerns that we (my wife) had.

FAQs for electrical wiring or panel upgrade projects in Big Pine Key, FL

While homeowners with substantial electrical knowledge might technically attempt a subpanel installation, most local building departments require permits and inspections for this type of work. Professional electricians understand local code requirements, can obtain necessary permits, and ensure the installation meets safety standards. Given the significant safety risks associated with incorrect electrical work, most homeowners benefit from hiring a licensed professional.

A standard subpanel installation takes an average of four to eight hours. This timeframe may extend if you're installing multiple subpanels or adding specialized circuits like those for spa equipment. Factors such as difficult access points, complex wiring paths, or permit processing times can also affect the overall project duration.

Adding a subpanel doesn't directly reduce electricity consumption or lower your utility bills. A subpanel simply redistributes power from your main panel to additional circuits. However, organizing your electrical system more efficiently may help prevent overloaded circuits and the associated problems. For actual cost savings, consider energy-efficient appliances and lighting instead.

The appropriate subpanel size depends on your specific electrical requirements. Consider the number and type of devices you'll be powering, potential future needs, and the capacity of your main electrical panel. An electrician can perform a load calculation to determine the most suitable amperage rating for your situation, ensuring you have adequate power without overpaying for unnecessary capacity.

A main electrical panel connects directly to your utility's power supply and contains your home's primary service disconnect. It distributes electricity throughout your entire house. A subpanel, by contrast, receives power from the main panel and redistributes it to a specific area of your home. Think of the main panel as the primary distribution point and the subpanel as a secondary branch that extends your electrical system's reach.

While electrical upgrades aren't as immediately visible as kitchen or bathroom renovations, they can contribute to your home's functionality and safety. Prospective buyers often appreciate updated electrical systems that can accommodate modern power demands. A properly installed subpanel that provides additional capacity for workshops, home offices, or future expansions could be an attractive feature for certain buyers, though the direct impact on home value varies by market.
