"Andrew came to our house between Ann Arbor and Plymouth at 8 PM on Tuesday when a storm caused an electrical outage. We had a generator but we're only getting partial power in the house. Andrew ran tests inside the house, determining that not enough power was coming into the house. He then started testing different areas of the generator until he found the part not working. Once he located the problem, he quickly fixed it. Because he didn't give up on me or my problem, he restored electricity, saving me hundreds from food spoilage in a refrigerator and freezer. I don't think most electricians would have stuck with the problem or been able or willing to fix the generator. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would."

"I called Superior Power and Lighting because I had a power issue with outlets not working in my garage. No tripped breakers in my panel and everything else working in the house that I knew of. I was worried about possible damage from mice and was concerned about electrical hazards if this was the case. I called and spoke to David and asked if he could send a tech to my home even though it was after hours and would be charged for an emergency call . Instead of just saying yes and sending a tech out, David took the time to ask me questions and run through simple items to check that could be causing my problem. To preface the story, I am very hands on and do a lot of my own work around the house and I do not consider myself as a novice when it comes to electrical wiring or other things. David was able to identify the problem for me (turned out to be a tripped GFCI outlet in a bathroom that was wired with my garage outlets....wow....and I was all squared away. It s great to find people like this in business! "Called me on the phone and gave me a time he expected to be at our home. Update his time if arrival and showed up on time. Diagnosed the problem with our GFI Outlet. Replaced to outlet and checked another GFI Outlet. I recommend Lake Road Electric for future electrical needs."

"Curtis Reames was the electrician and he is the owner of Phase 2.  He was timely in my response for service, we scheduled an appointment and he was early for the appointment.  The latter is a plus in my book.  He had other major jobs going on and asked if I would like a Saturday appointment which was fine with me.  I was surprised he worked on the week-end and did so at regular rates.  BTW, he also gave me a 5% discount on his labor due to the Angie's List connection.
Curtis was very professional.  He had all the supplies necessary and took down the old fixtures;  and, then he installed the new fixtures in the hallway and over the stairway.  He also replaced an outlet for me and had the supplies with him.  Additionally I had ordered a bed and he even offered to assemble it for me, which saved my neighbor from having to do so.
Curtis also offered to dispose of the old lighting and bed frame by donating all to Habitat for Humanity.  That was fine in my book, as I did not have to worry about the disposal of the glass and fixtures and saved my time and effort!
I would highly recommend Curtis and Phase 2 and would use them again in the future.  Good Job, Curtis!  And glad you took a check, too!

Came back on date scheduled, even showed up early and worked the entire day until the project was finished. "AHS is ok. They cover repairs of most everything under the roof of your house. The companies that contract with them are not always the best. You call AHS with the issue, they send a fax to the repair company and give you the contact info. If they don't contact you within 24 hours, you call them. Sometimes they answer, sometimes they don't. When they arrive (usually three days or so later), they service the item. if it has issues within the 90 days, you call AHS again, they are sent out with no charge. If the serviceman decides the unit is unrepairable, AHS will allow you to choose a replacement from their listing (usually not as good as what you have) they will install and remove your old item, or give you wholesale amount to buy and install your own. Prices vary on what you want covered and what you want the copay to be, plus where you live. For me it is 49.99 per month with a 75.00 time of service order. You can have more than one item serviced at the same time under the same fee. If you have a SEAR product the repair guys are great. Not that wild about the other ones they send out. But it is a big savings compared to calling someone on your own. The cost of service is only the 75.00 copay."

"The crew that came out was very professional and cleaned up after themselves. They only tore off a portion of the roof that could be replaced that day so we didn't have to worry about tarps. It took a few days but they were very careful and considerate of the house and landscaping. We had some issues with the roof looking like it was buckling in places and the owner was quick to come out and check it out. He said the shingles needed to settle in and heat up good before they will lay completely flat, I was skeptical about that answer but he said if they don't lay flat then they will tear it off and do it again. Sure enough, they did lay flat by the end of summer and everything looks fine now.
