"I provided my own paint for the hall bath. The paint color I selected was much yellower (is that a word?) that I expected. They were nice enough to help me get the correct color. Lesson learned - let the experts do their job. They were able to get the work done in a day and did not charge me for the extra trip to get the extra paint. I would use them again.

FAQs for exterior surfaces service projects in Birmingham, AL

An alternative to sandblasting is laser cleaning. If you're looking for a method that doesn't use abrasive materials and offers cleaner, more precise results, laser cleaning might be the solution. It can remove rust, grease, and paint without affecting the material underneath. Plus, it's more environmentally friendly and poses less risk to worker health since there are no fine particulates to inhale.

Sandblasting can be quite messy. The materials blasted onto the surface collect on the ground, and the process generates a lot of airborne debris. You'll need to clean up after the project, and it's best to move or cover items nearby that you don't want to be damaged by debris.

Sandblasters are exceptionally loud, operating at decibel levels between 115 and 125, louder than a chainsaw. This high noise level makes it essential for everyone in the area to use protective earplugs while the sandblasting is occurring. It's also considerate to let your neighbors know about the noise in advance so they can prepare.

While no federal laws restrict personal sandblasting, your state or local authorities may have specific regulations or permit requirements, so it’s important to check with them before starting the project. If you're hiring a local sandblasting company, check to ensure they hold all the necessary permits or licenses for your area.
