"Poor installation quality, lack of follow up for warranty coverage. They sub out to local contracts with apparently no quality controls. Gunner put on a new roof, new siding, new front doors, and new gutters. Not one of those was done to complete satisfaction. They covered my dryer vent with Hardie board which could have caused a fire if I didn't smell the burning smell while I was doing laundry. My front 2 doors came in the wrong size after 8 weeks and they had to reorder which took another 8 weeks. Finally, the doors were installed improperly: surrounding trim too short, covered a gap under the step with flashing, and didn't align the doors properly. The flat roof part had to be redone 3 times and it still wasn't properly installed. The property manager at the time, who has since left, was very nice and gave me $1500 credit. I had 2 other roofers out since to look at the problem and both said the flashing was installed improperly and they have to pull off boards etc and this will co"

"My husband and I recently ordered (30) custom Pella windows from Lowes for our new home but all of them will all need to be returned. Pella Windows and doors I thought you would like to know how your product is being delivered to your customers. Could someone please let me know how the black window with WHITE grids would have left the warehouse? (Please see picture below that's one of many that came that way). Does anyone look over the orders before they are sent out to the customers location? I have attached numerous pictures of the damaged windows we received. A lot of the windows are not even put together correctly so water would come right through. Please see the pictures attached showing the dents, the scratches and the missing paint. I know I ordered your windows through Lowes but this is your product PELLA and you need to make this right. This puts us so far behind. We had hired help at our house when the windows were delivered yesterday but we couldn't install one of the windows because there is something wrong with all of them. There is nothing stunning about these windows! Do you stand behind your product?"

"Two men arrived pretty much on time. They went to work right away. One man installed the five windows, while the other man installed the sliding glass door. They did a great job ! I would have given an excellent rating but after they left I went upstairs to the guest bathroom where one window was installed and saw there was a mess left on the floor. Otherwise they cleaned up well. I love the new windows and door!"

"From the start, we were misled about what Window Nation offered. We chose Window Nation because of their window guarantee and trained employees would handle the installation. However, we later discovered that our windows were installed by subcontractors, leading to a series of errors and damage to our home. Starting three months after installation, we reported water leaking through the windows. On the sixth service call, we requested an inspection of all installed windows; that is when we learned that all windows had been installed incorrectly. We also learned that a subcontractor installed the windows, so Window Nation was not responsible for the visible water damage and mold in our home, and the statute of limitations for addressing those damages had expired. Dishonesty and unprofessionalism defiled the entire process with Window Nation, eroding our trust in the company. I hope my review saves anyone considering Window Nation."

"You should probably add 4-6 weeks to the expected delivery date if you expect to need the "enclosed" hardware. I received the blinds in the estimated time, but it came without the required hardware. I have made 4 calls (at least) over several weeks, but the hardware is nowhere in site. It is clear that SelectBlinds.com is a marketing company only has outsourced all production and fulfillment to third parties and evidently has a difficult time coordinating these type of customer service issue. Extremely frustrating that my blinds have been sitting in the floor for over a month and all I need is a few screws. Happy to go to Home Depot to get the screws, but SelectBlinds can't even tell me what sizes I need."

FAQs for new windows service projects in Blue Ridge Summit, PA

Yes, bay windows add value to a home. They enhance the property by expanding the interior space and flooding rooms with natural light. Their unique three-panel design creates a stunning focal point that elevates curb appeal and modernizes living areas. This architectural detail increases both functional space and visual appeal, directly contributing to higher home resale value.

Yes, all window types have the potential to become part of a bay window configuration when modified correctly. The transformation involves reconfiguring standard windows into a multi-panel design that features a larger central window flanked by smaller ones. This process requires precise professional planning and custom framing to ensure durability, visual balance, and structural integrity.

Bay windows typically consist of three glass panels extending beyond the home's exterior walls, with a larger center panel flanked by two smaller ones. In contrast, bow windows are composed of four to six equally sized glass panels that create a gentle curve and do not extend as far from the exterior walls.

Bay windows cost more than standard windows because their expansive, multi-panel design requires additional materials and skilled labor. Their construction involves extra glass, specialized frame components that extend outward, and complex operating mechanisms. These technical demands necessitate precise engineering and multiple expert installations, thereby significantly increasing both material and labor expenses.

Bay windows cost three times more than standard double-hung windows because their design requires extra panels, expanded framing, and a more complex installation process. The advanced construction method increases material consumption and demands comprehensive expertise, while specialized window treatments further elevate expenses. This all results in a significant difference in overall project cost.
